In San Diego, post PS GTG in LV, and we had fantastic tour by "ToursbyTim.com" to LaJolla today. We had 4.5 hours of great entertainment, education and gossip...well worth the experience if you are in the San Diego area.

During the lunch break in the village, I snuck away from the group and took a 20 minute dash into H Moradi on Prospect st for a quickie visit to where my OEC diamond came from last fall! I met Serena and Farid - they are the internet specialists - and had all of my rings cleaned while I was there. Serena is familiar with PS and knows we are all crazy about bling, she let me 'power photograph' some bands!! oooh... why couldn't our stop have been a bit longer?? the treasures there are mainly estate - and SOOOOOOO unique!! WOW!!

Here are the bands that I looked at and there is a ring here that they pulled out of the vault for me - it just SCREAMS Kenny!! Its a parrot ring!! :appl:

everything looks better on Serena's hand.

The YG rope bezel band is shown in 2 ways - pic 3 is how you'd probably normally wear it, and #4, is the reverse with a pave option

I am in love with the pink marquis & colourless MRB that is all milgrained - just incredible!!! The last picture is the RG halo setting (or one just like it...) that my OEC was initially set in.

I didn't know that they also do custom work - I saw some custom eternity bands that were amazing! Ah... that was the a VERY short but most incredible visit! So glad I stopped in to say hi!

OMG loving all the texture in these heavily patterned rings!!
perhaps the thick ruby-and-diamond band is my very favourite.... but I wouldn't kick any of these out of bed, that's for sure! :naughty:

Enerchi, thanks! You ladies are so lucky; you have totally different design in USA. We have very simple and boring here. I even not visit jewelry stores unless I really have to. There is nothing to look at

Where are you, Confection?
I'm based in Australia.
In WA, to make things worse, hehe.

The cost of everything over here takes the fun out, rather, and perhaps as result the choices are not as wide-ranging, and the designs not so extravagant.
Not a big enough market here I guess, although there are plenty of jewellers where I live, but not really a huge population to support the really exciting stuff...culturally we don't seem to love our bling so much either, the designs are often very 'dainty' and conservative, of course the jewellers have to stock items that will sell...

and to add insult to injury, the 'lower standard' in gold is 9k!! horrible. :?

Oh my goodness Enerchi!!! What a way to start my day.. thanks for the smiles. Pics are amazing!! :appl: True eye (and finger) candy. What beautiful jewels you chose to share.. lucky us!!! Enjoy the rest of your trip!! Safe travels home. :wavey:

Thanks for posting your photos Enerchi, I'm sure it was a wonderful short visit. Lucky you!

LaraOnline, I am from Finland. Over all Finland is very expensive country to live and jewelleries are extra luxus items. Engagement rings are usually plain gold band, wedding bands might have diamond or two, but very small ones. 20 pointer is here big stone. So figure that!
I' boring!!! Taxes are high, when order from outside EU. VAT is 24% and customs 2-4% :((

Oh what fun! Your pics are great. I love the parrot ring but oh the sapphire rings............. :cheeky:

Hi Enerchi! I love their stores! Did you go to both? Those ruby band are wonderful, I have really been wanting one to go with my stack. Do you remember the size and price of the princess cut with five or six stones and then a diamond? I also love the one in your last photo, do you have stats on that. I have seen a few of these pieces in their ebay store and have been drooling over them. My favorite days are the ones when I get to take a trip out there and go to the stores. I just wish I had enough cash to cover all the lovelies I would like to buy from them. They also have some gorgeous honking pearl pendants I love. sigh.....

Crikey! 24 % is a bit much!

I like the rings in your avatar though, they look very nice! :)
Do you find coloured gems easily in Finland?

Well, Miss Enerchi, you certainly do get around!!! What a fun trip!!! I have always loved the band with the baguettes and rounds alternating. I am sure you can't possibly remember all those sizes and prices, though. They have many beautiful things!

Oh my goodness the sapphire and rubies bands are to die for.

Oh, my lawd, do I need to make a pilgrimage to them. I'm just not sure my pocketbook could take it.

I'll take:
- the Buccellati
- the alternating emerald and round bezel band
- the amazing red tourmaline and yellow gold wreath band
- AND that sapphire french-cut stacker for good measure, because I have been looking for one of those for AWHILE

I will leave the parrot ring out of the goodness of my heart.

Wowza! La Jolla is now on my list of "must see" locales. Thanks for sharing!

I'm glad you guys liked the eye candy!! I had so little time and there were so MANY treasures to look at - I just asked Serena to pull out some bands and.... we were snapping and trying them on at a lightening fast speed!! it was kind of fun!

I do not recall ANY pricing other than the angled marquise eternity was $7800 and the heart/MRB half eternity was $2800. Gee - guess which two I was the most intrigued by...! ;))

I do recommend allowing a LOT more than 20 minutes, if you get a chance to visit their shop just north of San Diego - its like a giant museum field trip with a HUGE variety of jewels.... heavenly!!!!

Love it all! I am always so drawn to the alternating bezeled emerald and round cuts. And that one looks like an especially nice iteration. Off to check out their website for details!

The parrot, the parrot! I want it!

I'll take the ruby/diamond alternating thank you very much! Thanks for including us, love it! That pink marquis combo: :twirl:

Oh I love that parrot! It really is perfect for Kenny! Oh my gosh, who would even wear something that obtrusive on this finger? It doesn't look comfortable at all. LOL! But it sure makes for great photos!!

I'm glad you had such a great time. Aren't they wonderful? It's not often that you can walk into a shop letting them know 100% that you're not interested in purchasing anything, but they let you try everything on and take photos. I can't do that even at places I did shop at!

Wow those are some beautiful rings :appl:

Enerchi!
You spoil us. That parrot ring really is a work of art. Thanks so much for sharing :appl:

All this in 20 minutes?! DAMN girl!!! I love so many of those; it would be impossible to walk out of there with just one! Did you get anything? :naughty:

OMGosh, I wish I would have known you were going to be in San Diego!! I LOVE going into that store. It's where the infamous surfgirl ring was purchased. They get some amazing estate pieces in their store. They even expanded a few years ago to accomodate the inventory.

You did good for 20 minutes!! It was a pleasure to meet you at the GTG!! You sure know how to maximize the use of your time, wherever you travel. :praise:

What she said! :cheeky:

Ooh la la, gorgeous pieces!!

My Dear Enerchi.......So I'm tallying this up, in less than 12 months you visited both coasts, hit LV twice, made a pit stop in my "Sweet Home Chicago" and tried on more delicious diamond rings than I've ever seen in my entire life!!!!

I think you could make a living doing this girlfriend :naughty: Enerchi's Diamond Diva Tours and Roadshow :cheeky:
Sign me up, I'm going with :Up_to_something:

And gorgeous rings in this visit!!!! I'll take the vintage marquise/baguette band please

Wow Enerchi, you had so much fun in 20 minutes - my favourite is the alternating rounds and baguettes band,

Woofmama's suggestion, love it - only problem is you would have to come to Aus and extend your tours :naughty: you would have fun though, lots of bling shops down here (in Melbourne) for you to explore :wavey:
