#JOTW My 3.55 OEC in ERD RG/WG solitaire

Valmanin, you are KILLING me with these pics!!! PS needs a "died and gone to heaven" smilie!!!

Your ring **** is making me super-anxious to hurry up and get one of my own already! But, I'll try my best to follow your example and be patient. If you can wait 9 months, so can I! lol. Your diamond is so, so, so perfect! It's super fiery with amazing facets, faces up totally white yet has that secretive OEC hint of creaminess only from certain angles. Such romance! And thanks for the links to ForteKitty and Missy's stunning rings…proof that L color OECs look perfectly at home in a platinum solitaire. I agree your stone would also look lovely in platinum, but I (and everyone else!) adore your RG setting. I think the RG is very much in keeping with the antiqueness of the stone, they just "go together," yanno? You could've told me that your ring is an untouched period original and I would believe you! So I'm still leaning toward going with your RG/WG setting.

OK, you've given me excellent food for thought. I really appreciate your detailed, thoughtful analysis. Thank you, thank you!!! By the way, your new YG eternity band is gorgeous and goes perfectly with your ring! I love seeing how versatile your RG/WG setting is -- it plays so well with any color metal band!! :appl:

I can't wait to see what you decide to do! I'm sure it will be beautiful!!!

Thank you! Looks like you are a fellow colored gold solitaire owner/lover!!

AAAHHHHH!!! WOOOOW!!

I love everything about it!

What a to-die-for ring!!! Is your setting a Mark Morrell inspiration of his Tochiere?

Yes, colorfulevidence, the torchiere was an inspiration along with Haven's RG/platinum beauty and a RG JbEG solitaire. ;)

And, thanks Kelli! Very sweet of you!!!

I just had to come back and drool over this beautiful ring again. I am not sure how you get anything done; I'd spend all day just staring at my hand.

One of my favorite rings on Pricescope.    Stunning!!!

Congrats!

Val, urs is my favorite ring on Pricescope  It is elegance and perfection. I also love the eternities you paired it with. In the photo with 2 eternity rings, one yellow and one white, can I ask you, please, what style of pave setting is the white gold one? It almost looks like it could be bezel set, but it is too fine to be so.....Also do you know how big the diamonds are in it?

This set is fabulous!!! I love everything about it!

I LOVE THIS SETTING HOW CAN I PURCHASE ONE JUST LIKE IT??????

OMG!!!!! I want to be you!!!!!!

Stunning! Very elegant setting! Good taste!

Yes...this is definitely one of the most beautiful rings here on PS.

Wow...love both the stone and setting! I loved your old setting from a while ago as well...you got me rethinking yellow gold.

I was about to post an update with some pictures of my solitaire with her new band, but all my pictures are rotating. :errrr:  I have seen others have this problem but it has never happened to me. Anyone know how to remedy this?

You had that old mine cut with the yellow stone at the bottom of the basket too? Gah I have jewelry box envy. You have great taste!

Ok...think I fixed the rotation problem...

I finally got a band that truly goes with my solitaire. It only took 2 years! In truth, I have known that the Tiffany Metro in RG was THE band for my ring, but for some reason I couldn't justify spending the money on it so I searched and searched. Nothing. Fortunately, my husband put me out of my misery this Christmas and there was a little blue box under the tree! It's the perfect match and I'm thrilled that my set finally feels complete!

As usual, here are 800 pictures to document the band.

Very beautiful! It is amazing how a band just seems to anchor an engagement ring!

I am! If that was you I'd kinda be mad you replaced it. I think you two have similar micropave bands!

Ok, wow! That is stunning on your hand. It has such pretty chunky facets and it is substantial but not too flashy! I'm in love!

That band is absolutely perfect with your stunning solitaire! There is just something special about those Tiffany wedding bands and I think it is totally worth the spurge.

Gah, drooling here...your set is stunning!   I love the addition of the band! Your set is sheer perfection! :appl: :appl: :appl: Well done to your DH! Congratulations!

Valmanin, your gorgeous OEC in it's stunning setting is one of my favorites on PS. I poured over your pics when I was deciding what to do with my stone. Now, with that beautiful Metro band, you have a perfect set! I didn't think your solitaire could be more beautiful, but somehow the band enhances it's beauty!! WOW!!!! :appl:  :appl:

WOW STUNNING is the only word I can think of! and you have such a good taste picking the setting and the stacking rings! beautiful beautiful beautiful!

do you mind sharing where you got the shared prong (single prong) stacking ring? it is the middle ring in the 21st pic on page 1. it is so delicate and it is exactly what i am looking for for a while!

i would really appreciate it if you would share on that band! :)

Wow! Your new band is the perfect soulmate for your e-ring! And major points to your sweet man for making it happen. (ps - not sure if you know this but I did end up having Mark make me a platinum version of your ring later in 2014...I adore it. It's the baby sister version of yours! I'll always be grateful to you for this design!)

I am happy you have a band that you now love!!! I just wanted to say that I adore your ring! The basket is to die for!!!! I am embarrassed to say that I have this thread saved on my phone so I easily pull it up and drool over your ring!!!
