My anniversary gift...red is the color of love <3

I have lots of pics of my new necklace that just arrived today. I love the goldsmith/jewelry designer who made this necklace. Her name is Karen Wickman and she went above and beyond with the necklace and even made a pair of earrings for me as a surprise. How generous and sweet is that! And she also handmade the toggle clasp for me since she couldn't source it in white gold.

It was difficult capturing the true color and translucency of the rubies with my crappy photography (lack of) skills and camera phone but I did the best I could. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Thank you arkieb, ds, gemfever, enerchi, junebug, distracts, yenny! I have been into longer necklaces lately. I am enjoying the look.

DS it is 14K white gold and 36 inches...I was tired when I posted last night so forgot a few details lol. I was vacillating between yellow and white because I have been wearing more yellow gold recently but in the end I chose what I knew would be more practical for me since my rings are platinum and most of my jewelry collection are white metals.

Enerchi- you are my personal (and I suspect many PSers personal) enabler hehe. Thank you for your assistance!

Yenny, definitely. These are the longest earrings I have now (and still remarkably comfortable which is surprising) and I think they will look great with my hair up...a very romantic look. I have continuing education classes this weekend so no time for neck and ear shots till next week probably unless I get a burst of energy today but I will take some for you.

Minous-that is the same necklace Enerchi shared with you. LOL it was confusion galore that day when I was making my final decision. I asked Enerchi what she thought if I did this custom necklace and sent her pics and she asked if I would like the opinion of a real expert and I said sure but could she email you because I didn't want to intrude. Well, she did email you but I wasn't clear and she thought I wanted to keep it a secret that it was for me. I am sorry about that because I wasn't trying to keep that a secret but I didn't want to just email you out of the blue (or red in this case haha) so I thought it would be better coming from Enerchi.
