Thank you for all of your kind comments. I wish I could capture the sparkle of this stone in a picture. It is a really unique stone. It has a maltese cross in the center and what almost look like windmills under the small table, but then the facets around the crown and edges sparkle like a disco ball. Thank you pricescope for helping me be able to appreciate the wonder and beauty of antique stones!!!

I love cushion cut diamonds---romantic and just beautiful! As for the size--it can be expected that a 1.6 carat cushion will face up smaller than a 1.6 RB. Your diamond is a beautiful size and appears to be a 1.00-1.25 carats (if comparing to a RB, but right on the money for a cushion cut). Looks marvelous!

It is such a romantic ring. I have a 4.25 ring too. I think it looks about 1.3 ct. I LOVE it. It''s made it into my top three!!!!! Where did you get that setting?? And where are you getting your diamonds? My BF and I are looking for antique diamonds for mine. It''s so much more romantic I think.

congratulations on getting engaged and your ring is GORGEOUS!!! i love your setting and i''m such a sucker for antique cushions...something about those high crowns and open culets make me melt! it looks so beautiful on your finger and i think the proportions are perfect! from the pics, i think it faces up like a 1.25ct but it''s still a pretty hefty rock IMHO!
