Thank you all for your lovely comments! Now it's just a matter of getting used to wearing a ring all the time (I'm not really a jewelry wearer at all, but I think I could become a convert now!)
ShaniB: The ring is a size 5, but I will probably be getting it re-sized when I get back to NY. It's hard because size 5 is definitely a good fit for my big knuckle (it usually takes about 2 seconds to wiggle the ring off) but it's very loose on my finger and spins to the side or all the way around far more often than it faces the right way. The comment I keep getting from family and friends about the ring is "It's beautiful but... isn't the ring too big on your finger?"! It's basically constantly moving on my finger but my knuckle appears to act as enough of an obstacle that I don't think it would fall off. I'm not sure how much smaller I can make the ring so it can still comfortably fit over my knuckle...
