I'd like to offer a very big thank you to my lovely sales assistants. They were patient, gracious, and generous with their time. They all seemed to really enjoy their job, and had fun with me playing with and talking about the jewels. I had a fantastic day. :))

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

i can't believe they let you play with so many lovely things and take photos of everything! kudos for the photos :appl:

Holy mother of bling! I'm so jealous! Those rings were gorgeous!!!!!!! :naughty:  :cheeky:

Wowzers!!! My favorites are (in no particular order) -- the emerald 3-stone, your ovals, and your pearls :rodent: What a fun day!

They are all lovely, but the very first one is the prettiest on you IMHO - go ahead and buy it!!! :saint:

What a fun day! I am so obsessed with the three stone emerald ring! That is exactly what I want for my right hand. Perhaps I will forward that picture to my hubby. LOL :naughty:

yowza!!! what a fabulous day!

These are probably going to be sideways. Sorry about that.

WOW... there is some serious deliciousness going on here!!! Thank you for taking all these photos...

I was wondering what your opinion on the three stone ring with round brilliants. What did you think about the proportions of the larger sidetones? I have always thought about doing something like this...but the majority of 3 stones I see has a lot smaller sidetones, usually half in proportion to the larger ...

In person did the ring look too bulky? was it comfortable? I am thinking maybe something like this for a right hand ring.. Just curious what you thought!

Good God! I am sitting here drooling!

ah....I'm feeling quite satisfied at the moment.... that was blingasmic, for sure!!!! :wink2: :naughty: It would be hard to pick a favourite from all of those gorgeous rings!!!

What a great day you had!!! I've always met snotty people when ever I pop into our local Birks... their blue box is nothing compared to the lovely Tiffany boxes!

Ahhhhhmazing!!!

Continued.
My favourite. Oh my how I adore this ring! I lost the card out of my pocket that had the stats, but it was 1.6-1.7cts of rose cuts, and around .5 cts of rounds. Size 6, I think I'd need an 8 because of the 10mm width.
J'adore!

Me want!!!....I am...panting heavily....drooling significantly...sobbing loudly!! I don't know whether to thank you for the bling **** or curse you for posting something I covet!!

I love both the solitaires~the 1.7 and the 5!!!! I love that style setting, X prong, wider band. Love love love. It was all fun to look at! Thank you for posting your pics of your fun day!!!!

Loving all the eye candy! What a way to spend the day!

 WOW what a gorgeous bunch of bling

Jane, thank YOU for taking the time to take the photos and post them! :appl:

Thanks for all the pictures! I really like the lucida type ring and the jacket for the pendant!

Wow, doesn't get more fun than that!!!!   :appl: :appl: :appl:

Wow, what a great outing. I love the 3 stone emerald halo ring.

jane, thank you for sharing!!

trying on rings like that is major fun!
you must have received a lot of inspiration there ;))

Wow, what a great bunch in that jewelry store to let you play with all those pretty pieces. Sometimes, a good "try on" session at a jewelry store beats a day at the spa for my psyche. Good for you! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry to post and run! I got busy yesterday.

Lknvrb4, you're welcome. :))

Hippi pixi, I was at three different stores that day, and hit the trifecta of nice SA's.

Sarahbear, you're right! So gorgeous!

GemFever, I'm flattered that my wee things stood out to you. It was such a fun day.

Motownmama, I like that first one too! But I don't have $47000. Right now. :Up_to_something:

AudiLover, do forward the pictures. It is such a mesmerizing ring. Glowy emeralds!

Lorrissey, thank you! :))

GoldFish8, that big three stone was transitionals, I forgot to write that when I posted. Now I must say, I love large over-the-top rings, so keep that in mind when I write about this one. I loved it. I would happily wear it every day, and I do not have the job or lifestyle that would stereotypically come with such a large piece. It has quite the hand presence. :cheeky: (that emoticon may be 'cheeky', but to me it looks like hanging my tongue out drooling.)
The setting was a bit odd. It was too big for my 6 finger and the stones were set sky-high. Also, I did not care for the side stones having six prongs while the centre had four. The side stones where also angled a bit too much for my liking, and the total effect made it look at bit like a bug face. Googly eyes instead of pretty diamonds. But I think you could easily set these stones in a basic basket with four prongs for each stone and get a completely gorgeous ring. You would still have to set them high and angle the side stones a bit, just less than the current setting. The stones clearly are overhanging my ring finger, so you would have to know if that would bug you.
I'm looking for inspiration for a very big sparkly anniversary ring, hence this trip. I unfortunately came away with more ideas instead of narrowing down the ones I had!

Rubyshoes, here, have a tissue! :cheeky: I need one too.

Enerchi, here, have a cigarette! I'm lucky that we have quite a big Birks in our town so they have things that outshine the local Tiff's.

Rosebloom, thank you. :))

Yennyfire, you can share Enerchi's ciggy. I know what you mean, that cobblestone ring is exquisite. I took a short vid too, but I have no idea how to share that. Sorry!

Luv2sparkle, those were some tasty solitaires! I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures.

Mom2boys, thank you. :))

Charleston1, thank you, and you're welcome!

Orchid Lei, you're welcome! I love that pendant 'jacket' too. :Up_to_something:

Diamondseeker, indeed!

Pregcurious, I think that emerald three stone is a major PS hit. Ha, my phone autocorrects your handle to 'prey heinous'.

Dianabarbara, you're welcome! Yes, much inspiration. Too much! I want so many rings now!

Vinjewels, you're welcome! I was lucky to get such nice SA's that day. I need to find out their work schedules! So much better to try on jewels than get a substandard pedi!

One last picture, it's of a window display. I LOVE blue sapphires!

The "googly eyes" comment just cracked me up!! LOL!! ya I also noticed the six pronged side stones and the four center...that would bother the cr@p out of me... but boy do I love me some transitionals...AND over-the-top rings...have you seen my collection lol ... Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.. please keep us posted on your anniversary ring journey!

Sounds like you had a great time all around!!

You're reminding me that the last time I had a diamond day out was when my local Birks had a fancy coloured diamond show. Such pretties.

But I'm jealous that you got to try things on - I'm a size 9 so nothing ever fits.

This is how I spend time in Heathrow every Christmas - annoying the Tiffany sales girls!

Thanks for sharing pics.

WOWoooo!!! ~~~~ It is a big day for me to see so many different rings as well. Honestly it is my first time to have a view on those exquisite rings...

Oh wow! That Rolex....the stack....the emeralds!

JaneSmith you certainly had a Big Day Out! Thank you so much for all those pics - amazing. What a lovely SA you must have
had, loads of time and patience - just how it should be! :wavey:

What an awesome day! I suddenly have a big urge to go shopping... ;))
