My BLACK 1mm spacer. What do you think?

I love it! And I actually love the front view too-not just the profile. I think it gives it a romantic touch vs taking away from it. So edgy and romantic at the same time...love it!

This pic! I love how the black brings out the detail in the band AND the e-ring! Awesome!!! :appl:

I think it's a neat look, but IMO it only works because the black ring has such a low profile that it doesn't overpower the other rings, but rather sets them off and makes the contrast in the bands show up so much better. I think if the black would be higher, it would overpower the diamonds and our eyes would be drawn to it. I like that someone posted about black onyx, because you do see it in many period pieces and it is a bold, pretty look!

I really like it, it's different and cool!

LOVE IT!!!!

Oh my goodness. So simple, yet so unexpected... I completely agree with missy - I think it adds to the romance, it lends an edge of wildness

As for wearing them both together - well, thing is, any metal/metal contact is going to cause wear. From your side view pic it's clearly successfully serving its purpose of separating Ering and wb and preventing Ering diamonds wearing metal on the wb away.
Yes, titanium is both "stronger" (harder to indent) and more "scratch resistent", but if you somehow jam your set hard enough that a flat titanium surface is going to compress the other rings you'd have done just as much damage without it! The scratching/wearing away metal on adjacent bands is definitely something to think about, but wearing any two rings next to each other guarantees scratching and wearing metal away over time so it's not a question of "if" but "how much", or maybe "how quickly"... and whether it's worth it to you to sacrifice some of that time for an aesthetic you love. No wrong answer!

HI:

Very nice with your rings and would be cool on it's own.

My Cartier Trinity ring as a ceramic black ring and I love it for that reason. Enjoy yours!

PS this designer has many colored bands--black included. Had I not bought "Cartier" I would have purchased a black band from him. They are desirable!

I think it looks really pretty! I like the contrast and it seems to make the details of your rings pop, I really like the front view - and yes, it reminds me of an antique piece, where enamel or onyx is used - ooo shiney posted some good examples.

I didn't like the side view but the top view? well, I think it really makes your setting "sing" in a HOT LOOK AT ME kind of way. very complimentary to the setting and makes everything POP on your finger. i'd never have thought of doing that. Congrats! :appl:

This spacer looks amazing with your rings...I could have never imagined that the black color of the spacer would compliment so much your rings and would have brought out the details of your set...It's a very original idea and i think that it works sooo well :appl: :appl: :appl:

I love this bold look :appl:

I don't love it but it's not my set, so if you love it, rock it.

I love it. It allows the two rings to shine! A platinum spacer would not have achieved this! Bold and brilliant!

It love the way it looks! Gives a nice separation to both your rings without really intruding.

I love the way that looks! Hmmmm... what if someone used a teeny thin band of those newfangled ceramic rings to get the same look? Would ceramic wear away at the metal bands? I do not know about these things.

For some reason it works!! It was not at all an ICK moment. Maybe because your rings are kinda vintage-y and the black gives it cool goth feel. I don't think it would work with every set but it does for yours. Yeah!! Own it and rock it. No one has a set like yours. :appl: :appl:

I like it. A lot! Thinking one of those would be wicked paired with a spess ring!

I've never seen this done before, but I have to say... I LOVE IT!!!

I think it works - mainly because the negative space in your eternity band suggests black space. But personally - I'd love to see what it would look like if the spacer had a softer, maybe brushed finish.

I think it looks amazing! I agree with what people have said about it suggesting negative space and really making your set stand out. I love it. I don't know anything about the metals, but if you're concerned about mixing metals, you could always get a ring of the same metal as your set plated with black rhodium. I love it!

I noticed that Andy Cohen wears a thin diamond eternity with a thin black band on either side. At first I thought it was one ring but last night he played with it and it is a stack of three rings. I wonder who will be the first to order 2 of those thin black bands to pair with their eternity.

I think it's cool and different. It would look great with an art deco set too. But I just came back from The Savoy, so I have deco on my mind....
