I finally figured out how to post pictures!

Here's a not-so great picture of my blue topaz double halo ring. The blue topaz is a real topaz but it has been heated treated. It is surrounded by yellow sapphires in yellow gold. Then, it's surrounded again but by white diamonds in white gold. The rest of the ring is white gold.

The inside of the ring is a marvel. I will have to post a picture later so you can see it. I can't describe it. There is support to the middle stone and the halos.

I really like how the white diamond halo is "separate" from the inner halo.

I think the blue topaz is emerald cut and about 2 carats (but may be a tad more).

That is beautiful txgreeneyes!!   I gasped when I saw it. It's stunning! Awesome choice on the setting!

Here's one more view of it.

Ignore my ugly finger that looks crooked. :)

The yellow sapphires and yellow diamonds could probably be called micro paved (?)

It's a beautiful ring from Laurie in Los Angeles. She has a jewelry design studio. They were very nice when I ordered it.

What a fun RHR.I love how intricate it is!

ETA: Is that from Laurie Sarah Designs? I've admired her work on Etsy.

Thanks Enerchi and InnerKitten.

It is from Laurie Sarah. I had admired it for months and then took the plunge.

Thank you for your kind words!

Beautiful ring!

I've been wondering about the quality of Laurie Sarah's work for a long time and am happy to be able to ask questions about it now. The ring is beautifully done. Do you have any pictures of the gallery and the inside of the ring? Also, how is the quality of the yellow sapphires and diamonds?

Ooh! That's really pretty. I really like the halo colors with the topaz. Lovely! Enjoy it! :appl:

I would love to see the gallery too. :)

Can I post some pictures that LS sent me about the ring?

I will look for my papers about the quality of the yellow sapphires and diamonds. I'm cleaning house because the inlaws are coming in tomorrow so it may be next week before I can find them.

Overall, the experience with working with LS was very pleasant. I highly recommend them. My best friend sent her 1 carat diamond ring to them to be placed in a different setting. She was very pleased with her ring.

I thought my ring was in stock, but they made it for me. I think they use a CAD system, but I could be wrong.

I could have asked them to find a unheated blue topaz, but they said it would cost more. They would have substituted another stone if I wanted it (and then changed the price accordingly -- and rightly so).

I may have to send it back to them to have it resized. If I take it to a local jeweler, it will void the warranty. Have to find the papers to tell you about their warranty.

All in all, I'm very happy with Laurie Sarah Designs. I check their website frequently for more pretty things.

What a really creative design! It's beautiful & shows off the topaz wonderfully, the goal of a good setting. I'd love to see pics of the gallery too when your in-laws have vacated. Nice to know about LS too.

While looking for the receipt for another ring, I came across the receipt for this one. :) Isn't that how it always works?

Blue Topaz and Diamond Ring

Center stone is a blue topaz; emerald cut; 7.03 x 9.02 mm; 2.69 carats

32 yellow sapphires; round cut; 0.27 ctw

84 white diamonds; round brilliant cut; about G-H, SI1-2; 0.51 ctw

6.25 grams of 14kt White and Yellow Gold

I like LS's designs. To me they are very whimsical. A poster along time ago had a double halo in pink sapphire and diamonds around a CZ asscher. It was beautiful

Your ring is also gorgeous! I love the play on yellow/white halos with the topaz. :appl: There is something you should know about topaz though and that is the majority of blue topaz has been treated by Irridation and heating. Normally irridation turns people off, but this particular gemstone has quite the following because it is the december birthstone- I have several pieces of jewelry with blue topaz as it is my hubby's birthstone....though none of them are as lovely as your ring. Because of the treatment to blue topaz it also makes it extremely affordable. Though natual blue topaz which is very pale- I'm told it is similar to aquarmarine- is extremely expensive.

Thanks, sarahbear!

It is a treated stone. That was my first question to LSD. They were willing to work with me in finding a natural unheated stone, but the cost would have gone up.

I recently bought a very paint peach natural unheated topaz from Gene. So, I have my natural topaz. Now, to figure out what setting to put it in. :)

Gorgeous! The yellow looks so nice on the halo!

The pictures she sent you are perfectly fine! So no mention if the sapphires are diffused?
