The book fails on marketing 101, because it has 'diamonds for dummies' followed by diamonds for fans and lovers followed by a deep dive into all sorts of history and grading blah blah blah

I *finally* got around to writing a review of Garry's amazing book on Amazon and wanted to revive this thread for any newcomers who don't know about the book.

What a resource! Garry's able to explain everything so clearly, and he brings the reader along. For all the details, the reader never feels bogged down.
