That is beautiful!!!! Both the stone and the setting! Lol you and your halos!!!!!
@Burmesedaze Is this the sapphire from page 14 of this thread? I'd like to see more photos of it. If it is that sapphire what do you think of the inclusions? The color is lovely.
Gosh they must be very skilled in setting things @Burmesedaze! The risk of setting the stone and then removing it after later as well!
It's nickel. The prongs are fairly soft I think!
Still beautiful though! Those rubies are lovely. I’ve been looking for star rubies I’m the past months, and have found so very few . Anything above 5 carats that has a nice star, regardless of body hue, is just so hard to find!
Thank you so much for checking into this seller! The ice earrings which you chose are super beautiful....what a great choice. Those must be a dream to wear. They go with everything and are so fresh and dreamy looking.@Bluegemz I went to All About Jade during lunch today. Even before they opened! This glassy jadeite ring is US24,450 ! t

Oh that would be fantastic! Even if you have to wait/save up for the right one, I think it’s a must have to go with your earrings. Such a set has a life long span, in that you’d probably still wear it in 20 years...@Bluegemz I'm seriously considering getting a ring from Myanmar jadeite on Facebook to go with the earrings.
Are they around 3-4 carats each? These are the ones at us740/ct!

Never understand the description in Chinese. They used the alcohol to describe the quality of the gemstone.

the prices seem very reasonable.
I imagine that the icy description means more frosted, possibly more coarse texture, whereas glassy is absolutely clear with the most compact microcrystalline structure possible. Truly PURE jadeite, which has been compressed many times over formation.Yes! I like the us1408 size and shape wise, except the Chinese description reads highly icy rather than glassy and I'd really like a glassy one and am ok paying more than that, preferably unset.

This is reminding me of my longing for an icy or glassy ring! I took a detour getting distracted with setting a few pieces, getting into coral ( which suddenly inspired me), and now I’m moving back to the jade.
Now this shot is goes straight to my heart! Look at the upper middle one! Its amazing!
Deal lol! I have 2 things I must purchase first but I can be looking in the mean time. I m trying to find around 10 carat, nice black star for a mans ring. Second, I semi committed myself to buying a 24 carat mint tourmaline ring. I wasn’t looking for tourmaline, but an antique dealer called me about an tourmaline ring which they received. I felt honored that they thought of me. its very big and sparkly, not something I would normally seek out, but once I saw it, the color had me. I would have to have it recut because of a significant window though.Let's stay committed together! Yes you are absolutely right. It's about the texture and impurities, as well as the glow.
