My Burma Myanmar gemstones :)

Ooh what are you going to do with the chrysos?

The smaller my jeweller wants. The big yellow I will keep since it's a collector's stone and I already have 1 being set in a ring. I'd like a pair for earrings though.

These are fairly priced. The smaller is well under a hundred and the larger under 150!

Beautiful stones!!

Thank you! They remind me of light pink ice :)

I think yellow or rose gold would be the right metal colour for them.

They will be in white gold.

Are these your normal chaps @Burmesedaze or someone else?

Can't wait to see them!!!

I blinked hard when I saw them online. For just... $55. Decent cut too. Getting then through my jewellers and they come with a local lab memo.

The pink spinels turned out to be...
Purple!!

They are are still pretty!!

How do you feel about it though?

First thought "maybe they'll go with the garnets in a similar cut".

Line em up with the garnets when you have time!!!!!

My spinel was a lot more purple than I expected as well. This combined with your pics is going to make me sus going forward *looks around suspiciously*

Nice, sparkly and clean. Together with the spinels.

I think i will just keep them first. May make good sidestones sometime down the road.

Took home several jadeite necklaces that are on my shortlist to compare with what I have.

Are those Burmese spinels? I find the pale colored Burmese ones so hard to read. They could appear one color in the pics but could be chameleons in real life shifting between pink, purple, mauve, aubergine, etc.

The strands I alr own are at the top of each shot.

Yes they are Burmese spinels - purple pair. Rest are garnets. You are right in that they are pretty shifty in different lights. So are the darker ones.

I like them, they will make good side stones for something!

Lol this jadeite deposit is depleted. It was known for white jade with that brilliant green. Very clean and crisp colours. Same deposit as this jade ring I bought during my first year here coz there just isn't any new supply anymore. I suspect this is from my jewellers'family jadeite mine since they know it so well.

Omg they both look so good. I honestly cannot pick. Can you???

So I look at the first pic and the dark green really appeals to me but then the second one is fresh and romantic.

Are you buying both? Girl I'm soooo jelly right now! Only reason why I'm not throwing a tanty is because you're my jade guru!

If you don't like length of second one you can make a bracelet!!!! But I do like a long necklace now and then.
