My CvB Spring Gulch indulgence - a hairpin for spring

... Spring of 2018, technically! I've been slothful with the camera this year. Caysie was a darling to work with - thorough and communicative. I've got a few other projects in progress with her and I'm looking forward to many more

I bought a trio of OMCs several years ago and repurposed two of the stones - this one took the long route home 0.67ct, ~5.6x4.3x3.6mm, estimated M/N.

Bezel is 14k Palladium/WG. Engraved halo and tines are 14k YG; comb is crimped, textured, and finished with a deep directional brush to help grip hair. The circle clip is a 14k YG 1.5mm size 9 wedding band from e-weddingbands - they bent it for me And I scrubbed it with a Brillo pad to give it some texture

Total length is 6.5cm, and head (stone + bezel + halo) is ~9x7mm.

I would be terrified of it falling out. But it actually looks very secure. It's certainly beautiful and luxurious. Do you ever wear it to the side or back or does it need to go on top?
