Hello all, I have been admiring everyone''s rings for such a long time and now I can share my E-ring mistake... but now we call it Serendipity.

I have been eyeing Daniel K''s Rosebud in Asscher cut for a very long time. I would stop by the jewelry store three days in a row just to try it on and drool. I loved it because it was a simple solitaire with a little bling.. Simple and elegant.

Here''s a picture of it attached.

it''s beautiful...what''s the mistake? I''m confused

My Fiancee sent pictures of the Daniel K Rosebud to his jeweler... But he sent him a link to Daniel K''s website.. our jeweler designed us the first picture he saw on the website, which was the Empress setting.
One month later, after the diamonds and setting was paid for, we saw the picture of the mistake.
I almost cried.. this was not my simple and elegant Rosebud. This looked liked my grandmother''s vintage gawdy ring

We almost had the diamond reset. But I felt a little sad knowing that this ring was made for me, and I didn''t want to orphan it. So decided to take a look at it in person...

Well, I certainly understand your initial reaction - but I''m so glad it turned out well! It looks beautiful on your hand!!!

I think you really and truly got the better end of that misunderstanding. Your ring is gorgeous! Every aspect of it is so pretty. I agree with Annette. Everything does happen for a reason. Now you won''t be tempted to reset your plainer ring into a halo someday. Someday came early!

oh it is absolutely gorgeous, what a beautiful mistake! you gotta love the finger coverage you get with a halo!

Very pretty! Congrats!

No mistake about it, it''s gorgeous!!!

I totally understand how you would feel, especially since you had your heart set on a certain setting but let me assure you that your current ring is just stunning regardless.

whoa, are you sure that was a mistake? it''s gorgeous and looks wonderful on your hand, especially with the two bands, congratulations on your engagement!

WOW! I actually like the ''mistake'' even better than the Rosebud. It is STUNNING! Congrats!

All mistakes should end up like yours. That''s a BEAUTIFUL ring! Your jeweller did a great job with the setting. Enjoy.
