I LOVE how the ring looks like tree roots! We picked out the setting together and a month later he went back for it and picked the stone!

It's beautiful!! And it looks so much bigger than .85. I wear the same size ring and I would have guessed 1+ ct!

It's beautiful! I love the setting!!! Congratulations!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

Absolutely gorgeous ring! It looks really big on you. Congratulations!!

It's really lovely! And I think the yellow gold swirl setting is just yummy.

Nice new pic of the side view!!!

It's beautiful! Did your fiance consult with us when he put the ring together? I seem to recall someone looking for swirly designs not too long ago... :read:

Congratulations on your engagement!

No I know he didn't do any recon on here :nono: but I took him to the largest diamond dealer in the area and we looked at many differences that makes a rock. When I asked to be showed a 3X and the paper opened he said "holy crap" so I know he really "got it" on why cut matters so much. I wanted bigger and would go down in color (j-k) since its in yellow gold (we already picked a setting). But when he went back on his own he said he just didn't like the warm-ness they had so he stayed under a carat and got this amazing icy color!

Loving your profile shot there!! I love setting like this ( and a tension one ) where you can see all of the diamond- it just seems so "out there" to view it all!! Gorgeous!!

Your guy learned well, good job, grasshopper!! :D

Lovely! I, too, really like the swoopy setting. Simple, with a twist! Congrats!

What a lovely ring! I adore the setting, too.

That is amazing! What kind of band are you going to pair it with??

I can't get over how big it looks on your finger! Awesome!

Thank you everyone!

And I never thought it would be so hard to get pictures of a diamond! These are all iPhone ones, I have a point and shoot but they come out worse (even after reading the form on pic taking) oh well 8)

I am deffently going to get the plain 18k Tiffany band in NYC this Xmas (I've never been and want SOMETHING Tiffany's)
But I'm also thinking of this

If you want to give your thoughts. I'm unsure. We all know things can look better in an ad then real life.
