My Engagement Ring, 1st and Final Upgrade (I promise!)

Congratulations on your upgrade. Do you plan to reset either of the first to diamonds?

Wow, that's a lot of rings.

Long time PS :lickout: lurker, the more time I spend on the site and study Diamonds both stats and pictures the more I believe many posters are displaying not so real Diamonds or is it just me  all thou most are in very attractive settings

It's probably just the cut. There's old stones have that cut, I think.

In any event, they look beautiful. Congratulations on the anniversary - and the beautiful rings.

For me, it was more about the color descriptions. The larger diamonds were lower in color supposedly, yet look whiter in the pictures. I'm very color sensitive, and I start seeing tint from "f" and beyond. In the pictures where all 3 rings at together, it seems a though the original smallest ring has most color.

I guess we'll just never know........

Hi!
I have a Qn though. is there any reason for the G to face up.... liked darker than the I ?
The I looks pretty white! Even from the side. What has caused this? Setting?
I'm asking because i am debating between H and K (i know its a big jump!) so i am really keen to know whats the reason.. cuts? thanks

Are they real?

Are yours?
Yes!... :praise:
I'd advise you to have these stones tested. you purchased these stones from a friend whom is in the diamond business?

Hmmmm... it's a pretty ring, for sure. Maybe it's the photos that make it appear like a moissy?? Either way, congrats on your upgrade! :wavey:
Obnoxious line of questioning. I get the rule. It's still obnoxious.

I like how the stones increase proportionally.

Dancing Fire your probably right I am getting on in years so maybe I need some spectacles :geek:

Yea I was wondering about that as someone would have to be "not so bright" to post pictures of non-diamonds trying to pass them off as diamonds to a board that is obsessed with diamonds

I don't think the questions were obnoxious given the circumstances. If you are going to post SO many close-up shots, with SO many experts here on the forum, then you might open yourself up to some scrutiny.
Whatever the case may be, enjoy your upgrade OP.

A few years ago there were members from a diamond simulant forum posting some fake diamonds here. After PSers applauded (congratulation, :appl: blaah, blaah, blaahh) then they go back to the simulant forum and "laugh their A$$ off" saying how easily it was to fool the members here with diamond simulants.

I suspect the congrats was more the members being nice and giving the posters the benefit of the doubt. I could see that happening but the people posting fake stones would be lame. You don't prove anything by doing that.
