Belle has posted a nice set of instructions here:
images FAQ

If your pictures are under 100k, then you probabaly just need to give them a unique name to upload them to the server. Good luck, can''t wait to see your ring!

ok, I've attached the file, I think it was the unique name thing?

the flyer is the lovely pub/restaurant in which my wonderful fiance proposed!

Hi all

I have been a lurker since January, although I have loved stones (not just diamonds) since I was a toddler and collected shiny grains of quartz in playground, hehehe.

My wonderful HB proposed at a lovely restaurant with "the ring". All I know is that it is old 1910-20, the stone is transitional cut, 6mm wide (so about 0.90?, modest to most standards here I know!) and it is beautiful. It has the most amazing setting... with milgrain around the bezel... so delicate and sweet. I think it is magical. It is very sparkly, very shiny and full of colour. I have no idea of the specs (no cert I am afraid). I think it is an I colour... since I can see it is not pure white in some lights (like in my kitchen) but then I am quite colour sensitive... but it is whiter than the ones on jewellers'' windows here!!!.

The cut is just beautiful. It looks like a little ball of fire... and does have an open culet (which I like). Having looked at it with a magnifying glass... I can tell it has a few inclusions... all small, carbon and quite disperse... so no big black marks.... There is one I can see now with my naked eye (maybe just imagine I can!;))

I am just excited... very excited to be a fiancée after 7 years... and with this beautiful ring...

All your thoughts welcome

Thanks for all the info... and inspiring picks... and sorry I took soooo loooong to write.

Oh wow! That is really something special! I love the simplicity! It is really pretty. The stone seems to have some history with it too.

Send us more photos and profile shots! Glad you are so pleased!

Congratulations on your engagement. I think your ring is beautiful. Would love to see more pics. Enjoy it.

Here is another picture of the ring in its box... so that you can see a bit of the profile... It has 6 diamond shapes pierced in the setting... which look like circles from a distance... just light and lace like...

I seem to have forgotten to say it is platinum!

Any ideas on what would look good for a wedding band? The setting is quite low... and it is something that is already worrying me.... so advice is needed

I quite like thin bands... the sank on the ring is only 1mm ...

Looking forwards to here your views...

It is SO beautiful! Congrats on your engagement and your little peice of heaven!

I hope you come back with some more pics. We''re always hungry for more

In terms of your w-band...any preferences thus far?

Surfgirl... Thanks for your reply. I have been admiring your ring.... for what seems a very very long long time... Now I have my mini version of it,

. I come from a modest background, and even my under carat seems huge to me! OECs are just sooo beautiful... I am lost for words when it gives me rainbows of colour. It is different in every light and I know I will never get bored of it!

It''s beautiful! I love it! I''d love to see more pictures!

Soooo pretty ;) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

In answer to your question, I was thinking of a very thin eternity band (micro pave or chanel set), either in platinum or rose gold (and I thought I didn''t like pink!) I don''t know, I think pink metal looks good with platinum. I must have got the ideas from nice micro pave settings where the stone is set in pink gold with pink diamonds and then the rest is platinum or white gold...I will have to find an example or even better, you high teck people can post some

(well this is the first forum I ever go on and I have lots to learn!)

I am unsure as to whether I would like it to fit flush or keep it straight... so ideas please!

Wow, that is absolutely beautiful! So delicate and dainty! I''m usually not a fan of the bezel but i really love this one!

Thank you for sharing but can we have MORE pictures please?

Yep, I know what you mean about the bezel. In real size it is like it is not there... it looks just like the stone is floating! OOHHH ohhh magic!

Wow, I love how simple it is! Congratulations on a beautiful ring and your engagement!!!!

Thanks all for your comments. I will try to post more pics tomorrow. :D

This is such a great forum!

Congrats! Great pics! Yours are very clear...I struggle so when I post pics. Pretty, pretty ring! Can we see some shots from the side view to see the design underneath the stone? That bezel setting looks really lovely.

That is gorgeous! Please post more pictures as soon as you can...I may be in the market for a bezel setting and yours is perfect!

Congrats on the engagement

and a very pretty ring. Post more pics! The wedding band in pink gold would look lovely with this ring.

What an exquisite and special engagement ring you have there! Your excitement is contagious - congratulations!!!

Beautiful ring, so simple and elegant. I think it would look gorgeous with either a super thin micropave or any of the deco style eternity bands from faycullen.com-- too many beautiful ones to pick just one. The baguettes end to end or baguettes with rounds or sapphires--- all would look great! Also some nice bands at antiqueengagementrings.com. Personally I love a gap but these sites have curved bands also. Can't wait to see what you decide!

What a lovely ring- it looks so "at home" on your finger. As for wedding bands, I think an thin eternity or half eternity band with single cut diamonds would look lovely. I love a little gap between rings.

Here''s an idea from antiqueengagementrings.com- barely 2mm wide.
