My first precision cut stone

The stone photographs such a dark blue but it's not nearly that dark in person. It's much ligher and purplish. I blame the crappy iPhone camera. Oh well, either way it's a beautiful stone :D I've gotten nothing but compliments on it. Gene did a great job!

I'm sure she'll be delighted with it - looks very sparkly!

It's not the iPhone which I've found takes surprisingly decent pictures. All my gem and jewellery pictures are taken using my iPhone. What you need is more light! It is too dim as evidenced by the background colour.

More light?!? It was right underneath a lamp. I'll try again with better light and see what I can come up with :D

Ah...but is the lamp bright enough? Is the wattage high enough? ;)) With indoor photography, I find that I need at least an overhead light and a lamp or else the whole picture ends up pretty dark.

It's one of those crappy fluorescent bulbs that lasts forever but isn't very bright. I'll wait for some sunlight :D

Beautiful stone and pendant, congratulations,it is so special to you!

Here are some more pice. Some microscope pics just for fun, even though they show all the flaws in a stone which is eye clean and an iPhone pic with some better lighting (I think?). Enjoy!

Congrats on your new pendant! Amazing color changes.

It's beautiful! I love the curviness of the bale versus the clean edges of the stone. Great pendant!
