I have a confession...I'm not a good neck stacker.

I have been looking at Victorian chains for forever, but never was able to pull the trigger.

Saw this chain last week and I was hooked!

She's bicolor and 42 grams. Substantial, but wearable. AND she looks perfect on her own :geek2:!

I also appreciate how the bolt clasps provide multiple styling options.

This may be my new signature piece!

Wow.. now that is a necklace!! I love how substantial it is. I am a sucker for yellow gold!! And omg I just read it's 20K GOLD!! I am wanting a gold necklace too but so far budget is for 9K LOL.

It looks perfect with or without the extender.. but with the extender.. I think that calls for some pendants/lockets etc!!

Thanks @maryjane04 ! Oh yes, I think I need a locket now!

Stunning.
Don’t mind me, in my head I’m already hanging charms off those links. I have always loved the idea of a “charm necklace”.

Love the heft and the rich high-karat gold color! Just terrific!

Looks great! What a statement piece.

Is the length of the necklace adjustable too so you can wear it as eg a choker or longer over a higher neckline?

I’m imagining Faberge eggs dangling from your necklace now…

What a piece! It’s so beautiful & weighty!

Thank you @Dreamer_D ! Ironically, I don't like heavy necklaces any more (is it old age?), but the weight on this chain is more evenly distributed so it works more me.

Stunning.

@Bron357 thanks-I don't think I can handle much more weight-maybe a light weight locket?

Love the heft and the rich high-karat gold color! Just terrific!
Thanks @LilAlex. I love gold color!

The chain is 16". If I add the extender, it's about 18". I did a little experiment for you-I can wear it as a choker, but I don't really wear choker length any more-another old age quirk:lol-2:

This is maybe 14"?

I love this. And covet it.

Oh, it looks perfect on you and OH...the possibilities!

It's perfect.....I love it! ❤️

Hi @stracci2000, I saw your comments on an old thread about repairing a jade bracelet. Can you tell me more about the epoxy you used and how you did it? Are you still able to wear the bangle and how has the epoxy held up? If possible, can you message me or I can send you my email address? I recently broke a bangle with significant meaning to me and I have been very distraught. I really hope to fix it. Thank you so much!

I love this new antique piece! It has such a beautiful complexity to the design.

This is a Victorian "Book Chain" necklace. Back in the day, they wore them with a locket, cameo or large cross on the dangle-end. (But they look great however you decide to wear them -- so many options!)

Here are some examples of what the Victorians styled them:

Thanks for all the great inspo pics @RunningwithScissors! It’s crazy to me that something so old feels so modern!

Absolutely amazing. Frankly I am not particularly fond of chains all on their own but that! That is something!
