Hi everyone.
I have been on the ring hunt for a long time
about 2 weeks ago after much research we finally bit the bullet.
My previous ring was a .75ct fancy yellow VS2 marquise with trillion side stones. Total ct weight was 1.45 it was set in yellow gold and platinum it was a stunning ring but the marquise kept banging and getting caught on things.
We ended up selling it before we went on holidays with the intention to replace it sooner but things came up and we didnt get there. 2 mire kids later and approaching my 25th birthday (4 years since i received the proposal) the time came to get a new ring.
Halo or no Halo?
Solitaire or 3 stone ?
Pave or No pave ?
Cushion, princess or round ?
i have to say i am a very indecisive person!
I even at one point was going to get an east west oval on a pave with no halo, i think one day i will still do this as well as a princess solitaire in yellow gold.
well we finally decided on a round cut diamond and after researching and reading reviews from all the signature cuts we decided on a whiteflash ACA. not to meantion their customer service was exceptional.
I was going to do another 3 stone ring but due to the possibility of getting a larger stone i would of had to replace setting and side stones as well for proportions.
I was then going solitaire and upgrading the setting later. But solitaires just do not suit me. And i love extra bling. I decided unless its a cushion i dont like halos. So a petite pave setting it is. Thankfully whiteflash had it !
We chose a .611ct VS2 I ACA checked out before i could change my mind. I may go up to a .9 next year but i am nervous for larger stones with my lifestyle and where i live .25 is the norm. Im confident this ring will be the sparkliest little thing in my town and will draw so much attention. We only see chain jewelery store diamonds here and once they leave the shop they look yellow or grey :/
I do have DSS being on pricescope and seeing everyone elses flashers but then i remember why i chose a small stone and i think its sooooo perfect!
