my Leon is almost done! and i'm nervous....

I was about at near panic before I got my ring. I loved it as soon as I saw it, but it does have a couple of things that I am not
happy with. I had my wedding date engraved inside it, and Leon put it at the bottom sizing bar instead of up next to the ruby I
had set inside, where I had asked for it to be. Also, there is one tiny diamond that is dead. All in all, I am glad that I went
with my ring. It is classic and the pave (except the one diamond) is absolutely perfect and stunning. No one does work that
delicate. He has a way with lines and curves that is simply exceptional.

Your ring will be perfect, and I am sure you will love it. Sometimes you need your eyes to catch up with your mental picture that
you have been holding for 8 weeks. So just give it a bit of time to grow on you. I can't wait to see it!

it really does make you panic! to spend so much money on something you order over the phone is def nerve racking!

did you tell leon about what you weren't happy with? if so, how did he react? you should def have him replace that dead diamond tho!

you're right about the mental picture thing.. i hope i'm not disappointed!

Everyone feels that way when they are getting a custom ring or reset. I was really worried before I got my custom eternity from WF, and when I was just waiting for my BGD reset - would I like it enough to justify the $ spent on it?

However, as soon as I opened both boxes, I was in love, and the rings were perfect. I have never worked with Leon, but plan to for our 10th anniversary. I think that his rings are exquisite, and I've never seen one that I thought was less than perfect.

You are going to love your Leon, and we will too - post pics when you get it!

you hit one of my worry nails right on the head vesper... "would i like it enought to justify the $ spent on it?" if i don't, nobody tell my fi! cuz i'm not gonna!

I think your ring is in VERY good hands, don't fret! I think chances are slim you will be disappointed. Everytime I look at his site, I fall in love with something else. Not a dud on there.

I sent an email after I got it and asked if the engraving could me moved, but I never got a response. In all fairness, I think it was
the week of a big trade show, and the email could have gone to his junk email. I never followed up on it. I am concerned that
if the ring is ever resized, I will lose the engraving and have to do it again. I would expect that it would be a fight later.
The one little diamond is on the back of the ring, and it is one teeny tiny diamond out of 86 (I think). It is really really small, so
in the scheme of things doesn't make that much difference. I wear my ring with a spacer and a bigger eternity band so it is not
even seen. It is just one of those things you notice. I am not sure anything is ever totally perfect, even the awesome Leon, so
for now I am letting it all go. Truthfully, the engraving would probably be more costly than the diamond.

Sammie, I can't wait to see your ring, I am sure it will be wonderful! The fluidity of his rings are perfection!

sorry for going MIA folks! thanks for all your responses!

maybe i'm more nervous because i think i may have confused Leon with what i wanted.. at one point he told me what i was describing sounded like a ring from jc penney after that conversation i emailed and told him to do what he thought was best and i def did not want a jc penney-looking ring! but he also told me he likes to set his solitaires as low as possible, and i wanted it raised up slightly, so i'm a little nervous about that...

i emailed in response to their email that the ring was almost finished and asked for a picture, but i didn't get a response

Hi sammie-I recall Leon posted an announcement some time ago that he was no longer going to send out photos before shipping his pieces, so I believe there is a policy in place that may explain (but not excuse) their non-response. I know the nervous feeling you are referring to with regards to custom pieces, I've also felt it before. But if you can find a vendor you have trust and top communication with, I've found the nerves are no more
