My mahenge setting is finally here!!!

Here is my mahenge's new setting. It's a LOGR setting and I couldn't be happier. More pics after it's set!

Just perfect for the spinel, which looks very at home in it. I can't even tell that it's not set yet. How is the quality of the melees and workmanship, considering the price level?

Gorgeous! I can't tell exactly but did you do 2 tone with yellow gold prongs?

Thank you! The quality is impeccable. The melee sparkles like crazy but, i did upgrade the diamond quality. The jeweler said quality looks fine. No loose stones, no wonkiness. I'm very pleased.

I'm sorry. I forgot to mention that it IS 14k yellow gold. I didn't want 18k in fear of melee falling out. Is there a different look to 18k vs. 14k yellow gold? I just know the higher gold content the softer it gets. Is that right?

Yes, 18k is both yellower and softer than 14k yellow gold.

That will be amazing in that setting! Love the high contrast w the spinel and upgraded diamonds. Just sitting in the setting, you can see its a perfect combination! Hurry and set it...so you can wear and enjoy it! Oh---ask if they can do claw prongs!

Well that is enough for me to change my opinion of LOGR! I think I bought at the bottom of their quality control. But your ring is stunning and makes the spinel look biiiiiig! Beautiful!

I would say this was a great first project! My very first colored stone and very first right hand ring from my fiancé. I'm going to post more pictures tomorrow when I can get some better lighting. I may be able to get my dad to take some "real" pictures instead of on my iPhone.
