Hi Everyone, :wavey:

I just wanted to share my mom's new RB. She has always wanted a 2 carat diamond. After seeing mine, she took the plunge. Before we actually looked at the stones, she was sure she wanted at least an F. But I convinced her to consider G and H's. Luckily we found an H that was extremely clear and sparkly. We did go with a higher clarity VS1, as it seemed just clearer than the SI1's we saw. Tons of contrast and fire from the stone. Really, it kinda glows! My F does not do that. My husband thought that her stone was an E, which thrilled her to pieces. And a 2.04 is just stunning on her 3.75 size fingers. And I thought it was soooo cute that she picked a channel setting, so classic to her time, the 70s.

Thanks for letting me share. I just knew you PS'ers appreciated a beautiful rock, whether old or new cut. :) And truthfully, I am just so thrilled for her that I can hardly contain myself. She deserves something that she's craved her whole life, and just put on the back burner so that her family could come first.

Stats:
H, VS1, 2.04
GIA 3X
No fluorescence

Here is are a couple of pics of my F, VS1, 2.59, GIA 3X, medium fluor, just for comparison's sake. I think hers is prettier, but I am happy about that. She's my mom, and hers should be prettier. :D And I am getting a new setting so I will get to post my new pics in a couple of weeks. I'm so excited.

They are both gorgeous! I'm so glad your Mom finally "indulged" herself because I'm sure she deserved it! You are a sweet daughter to be so happy for her!!

HI:

A pair of beautiful diamonds and hands!

cheers--Sharon

Dear PS'ers, ClassyRocks, SB621, tyty333, maccers, junebug17, kathness, MissGotRocks, diamondseeker2006, yennyfire, canuk-gal, you all are sooo sweet. Thank you for sharing in my joy for my awesome mom. I went upstairs this morning to look at the ring again, to see if it was still as pretty as yesterday or if it was just the excitement of making the purchase that distorted my vision. Nope, still so beautiful!! yay!!

It's funny about hands though. She has 3.75 fingers, and she tells me I messed up my hands from cracking them so much, cause my knuckles are way bigger than the rest of the finger. And mine are a 4.5. So she makes me feel like I have these ugly knobby claws. Thanks for the nice comments about the fingers. I feel better...

And then I see all these slim tapering fingers (no-veins) on PS and I'm jealous. ;) Grass is always greener you know...

I think I will try to take some good pictures outdoors at some time. You all with your amazing pics astound me.

Beautiful hands should be adorned with beautiful bling! :appl:

You guys are going to cause traffic accidents with your bling! :naughty:

Beautiful ring for mom! How nice that she got what she always wanted and what a good daughter to enable her!! A true PS'er!!
Both rings are beautiful!!! Everyone enjoy and wear in good health

Oh, I LOVE your mom's new ring!! Her diamond looks gorgeous and white and quite large on her hand ... wow, YAY for Mom! :appl:

aw, how adorable! I wish I could share the bling bug with my mother. I'd love to help her find a diamond! They both look wonderful on your tiny fingers ;))

They're both GORGEOUS stones!

Oh what I wouldn't give for tiny fingers!! ;( Gorgeous stones!!! I'm looking forward to your re-set!!

Two incredible rings!! Yay for your mom getting her dream rock!

Both of you have stunning stones. I am so happy for your mom, I know just how she feels. I finally got an upgrade around our 28th anniversary, and I, too, had wanted a 2 ct stone since I was a little girl. Yay for your mom. Both of you have beautiful hands. I don't think you have ugly knuckles at all, and I would give a toe to have 4.5 fingers over size 7 any day of the week!

Luv2sparkle, you are too funny. Nah, you'll need all your toes. ;) Did it feel great when you got your upgrade? Do you have any regrets?

Thank you, PIntobean, Elisateach, Roxy, pandabee, AudiLover, Christina, Rosebloom, for all your compliments and kind words. Thank you for sharing my joy. It was a great feeling, having the chance to experience with my mom her first time buying a significant stone. I am very grateful for all that I have learned from the experts and bling-lovers. I have to say that, after lurking on this site for almost a year, I have learned so much.

Both of you have lovely rings and hands!! Your Mom's 'H' looks icy white!

Thanks Laila! I was very surprised how white an H was too. :)

When you get the new setting, I would love to see side by side shots...and no, one really isn't prettier than the other, each looks beautiful!
