There''s always something so special about a clean 6 prong solitaire. How did you choose between the torchiere/sunburst/flame? I would have a hard time deciding! Have you thought about what to do for a wedding band? Actually you must still be recovering from the engagement ring hunt

KittyBling -- I LOVE Solitaires! My fiance and I have been together for 5 years now and for the past few years I've known that when we got engaged I would want a solitaire. I just love how solitaires are classic, simple, and elegant.

Regarding how I chose between the Flame, Sunburst, and Torchiere -- originally I had wanted the Flame setting, and then as time went on I was also considering the Vatche Swan setting. But then when I saw the Petite Torchiere I fell in love! I loved how the band was a little thinner too because I LOVE thin bands. I considered the Sunburst at one time too, but decided against it because I loved the surprise diamonds in the Flame and Torchiere settings. I honestly have no idea what type of wedding band to get. I'm debating between getting a plain band or a band with diamonds, but I really don't know. I was telling my fiance that I love how the Petite Torchiere looks by itself that I don't even want a wedding band! haha (I was just kidding though

). I would love for Mark Morrell to create my wedding band, but it may be too pricey with all of the other wedding costs....but we'll see...

How does it work with MWM? Do you send him the loose stone yourself or does the vendor have to send it to him directly?

Mark Morrell asked my fiance to have the diamond sent by the vendor. Also, when the ring was finished, my fiance told me that Mark Morrell preferred to send it back to the diamond vendor. My fiance then picked up the finished setting from our original diamond vendor.

Thanks! But the kitty is not mine unfortunately

My mum and sister are allergic to cats so I can''t keep one in our house. I''ve already told SO that I''ll only marry him if I can keep a cat in the house lol. He has a dog who doesn''t like cats so we''ll see how that pans out!

As for wedding bands... I saw a woman today on the tube who had a plain solitaire on around 1-1.5ct in size and she had a very delicate thin eternity band paired with it as a wedding band... honestly it looked soooo good together as a set. So classic and elegant with a subtle hint of bling. I couldn''t take my eyes off it. I probably freaked her out haha.
