My new and recent colored stone projects

That''s all I have of the pendant for now.

My benitoite from Dutton''s has also been set...not a great pic here, but you get the idea:

And here''s what I have left waiting to be set:

-Peter Torraca prasiolite asscher - will probably go in a green gold JKT ring

-Gemburionline tanzanite asscher and Bob Kast oval tanzanite - will send one of these to Patrick Irla for a rose gold hydrangea ring (not sure which one...also, I swear the tilt window in the Bob Kast stone is not that big IRL!)

-And a new Wollo Ethiopian opal from The Gem Trader that I haven''t revealed to you guys yet. It has a fire-opal orange base with awesome green play of color:

Bought one more today that I posted in the catch-all thread...3mm green zoisite. Brad says the color is an intense tsavorite green! I think I''ll set it in a multi-stone pendant with the Wollo opal below it and maybe the gemburi tanzanite asscher star-set below that.

lovely green colour :)

Thanks Maevie! It arrived yesterday and is really pretty! I took pictures of it with the faceted opal and Asscher tanzanite, and I think they all look really great together. This is how I''d set the in a pendant:

Another perspective, showing the play of color in the opal nicely...

More...what do you all think of the colors together? The zoisite is such an intense green; I love it!

Gorgeous green zeosite. I''ll bet you wish it is a lot larger.

True, but then I wouldn''t have been able to afford it!

Haha, don''t you wish there was like a Miracle-Gro for gems, where you could soak them overnight and they''d be bigger in the morning?

Anyways, I think it''s a good color combo, and I wanna see that green in person!

Thanks guys! Yeah, I think I''ll ask Julia to do this pendant. The only caveat is that the opal has some cool color play from the side view, and I don''t want to cover it with a bezel, so maybe she can prong-set it for me. This will probably be a few months down the line, so there''s plenty of time to figure it out.

More updates for you all! This ring is on its way from Patrick Irla...

And this is how my 3-stone pendant from Daniel M turned out. I love the look (though I haven''t received it yet) and will definitely go back to him in the future!

Finally, my "seafoam" green tourmaline arrived from AJS gems. I put seafoam in quotes because I bought it for the seafoam color that I see in the picture. IRL it''s actually a bit darker and greener, so I wouldn''t call it seafoam, but it''s too pretty to send back. Not really sure what I''ll do with it yet.

Lol!

I bet you can''t wait to get these huh? What kind of outfit do you plan to wear the pendant with? And how long did it take Daniel to get it done?

Oooh, so many new pretties.

Thanks, guys! Freke, I'm jumping out of my skin waiting for them. I haven't been this excited about a project since my JKT ring with the blue zircon. The hydrangeas look so pretty. I'm glad I went with silver prongs, though...Patrick and I both agreed that rose gold prongs would make the tanzanite appear more muddy by reflection. As for Daniel, he was super-fast. I first convo'd him on 5/1, stones arrived to him 5/7, got the first round of pics on 5/13 - less than a week! There was a slight tweak that I asked for (he had set the bottom tanzanite a little differently, with the prongs on each side rather than the corners, but we didn't specifically talk about that and he was very willing to change it). Final photos came 5/18. I'm all about sending more stuff to them later on.

ETA: Haven't even thought about outfits, but the beauty of the pendant is that I can match it to orange, purple, or green - LOL!
