Since I decided to brave the elements and take some pics outside (it is currently 30 degrees with a cold wind) I decided I'd pass them on for everyone. This is the last big Namibian Blue Tourmaline that Barry posted in his last drop. It is always so exciting when you are the one to win the stone! Barrys pic is first, and mine will follow.

Thanks for checking them out. And it goes without saying, Barry is awesome to deal with!!

Sexy!

When I saw that stone it was already gone. So YOU're the one who beat me to it :) :) ;)

How are you gonna set it?

Its brighter and less gray than my photos...but its the best my camera(phone) is capable of.

No setting plans...although I do have three of these, this 8.7mm round, a 7x6mm Supernova (almost exact match), and a 7.1mm Round that is a bit darker but still similar, all cut by BB. Might be interesting to combine them, but its a little far off...still have other stuff I want to set ahead of this one...

Nice! And you have another one that matches it, swoon! :cheeky:

This is another one that you will benefit from liking your darker, slightly greyer stones. You know the way you have less than a nanosecond when you log on to his site? Well, I logged on, saw that it was Namibian, and without even really looking at it hit Buy. When I went back to look at it and other stones, I realized that it was not like the Namibians he has had in the past (like NKOTB's, Freke's and MTG's), as it was darker and not as saturated. So I panicked and contacted Barry to tell him to cancel. He agreed that it was darker than the others and reassured me that you were a good minute ahead of me anyway, so it really didn't matter! :appl: :appl:

I hope you enjoy it.

Minou, I don't really like greyish stones...this stone isn't grey at all...its my pics. IRL, this stone is maybe one shade darker than the one NKOTB has...I swear! One day I will get a decent camera and be able to do better pics. I am getting better with reds and yellows...greens are tough, blues, forget it. I know I should move on from the camera phone...but...

I dont mean to say that to make you feel bad for missing out on the stone-but it IS saturated and is not greyish. Its brighter in person...just like a said, a hair darker than hers, but a hair. Geez, now I am afraid to post my pics, lol.

Chris,

That is a lovely stone and a great size. I tried to purchase it too and obviously was not as quick as you!! Congrats!

You don't make me feel bad at all, particularly when Barry confirmed my assessment. But the important thing is that you like it and it is a pretty stone. I needed another greenish blue toumaline like I needed a whole in the head. You like darker stones. I think its a win win! :appl:
