Hi everyone! I''m totally new here, got engaged this past Saturday. Anywho, I''m so excited about my new engagement ring that I had to share! I have a 1.5 ct., H, VS2 Asscher stone set in an original, circa 1920''s Art Deco mounting. I love the tiny, bead-set diamonds along the shoulder as well as the milgrain and engraving details. My only qualm is that the prongs aren''t perfectly symmetrical. The jeweler said that it was really challenging setting my stone into the mounting because it was a touch too big for the ring. I still love it though!

We definitely need more pictures of that beauty!

Oh my goodness, that stone is absolutely beautiful! It must be a Royal Asscher, correct? It certainly looks like one! And a Royal Asscher in a vintage 1920''s setting?? Perfection!

Also, it looks huge on your finger! You must have teensy fingers like most PSers

Well done! I must say, after hanging around PS, I am a sucker for an Asscher! SOOOO clean and beautiful!

Also, I

milgrain!

I specifically asked my fiance to choose a really nicely cut Asscher. There are some that are cut and polished fairly dull and I wanted one that was cut with extra facets. I really left it up to him. If this Asscher isn''t a Royal, then it most certainly resembles one closely. He did a pretty good job, didn''t he?

I''m super-petite, my ring size is 3.75, which is a total plus because the stone looks really huge on my hand!

It definitely looks like a Royal Asscher, which I happen to LOVE! It''s just stunning, NanaK. and even more cool that it''s set in a true antique setting. Congratulations to you and your new fiance!

Your stone is beautiful, congrats on your engagement! I love antique settings

He did a FANTASTIC job! Oh, and I forgot to congratulate you on the engagement! CONGRATS, how exciting for you!!!

Thank you for the kind words and congrats! I really appreciate it. To tell you the truth, it was a very hard-won engagement. We''ve been together for over 5 years and just a few months ago, we nearly called it quits! (he had this fear of taking our relationship to the next level) Anyhow, he really surprised me with the desire to be engaged so I''m on Cloud 9 at this moment. =)

Wow, what a beautiful ring!! The asscher looks incredible and the setting is divine and reminds me of the cartier classic. Congrats on getting engaged and deciding on taking it to the next level!!

Eh, some have it easier than others

A future with you was obviously enough for him to put his fears behind him and now you can both enjoy the years ahead. Enjoy Cloud 9!

Wow! That is just gorgeous! Now I want an asscher...Congrats on your engagement and your beautiful ring!

YOWZA! Who do I need to talk to around here to get some more pics?

Wow, Nana - just WOW! I opened this thread and did NOT expect to see such a gorgeous Asscher and setting combination!

Congratulations on the engagement - I can relate to your proposal issues - and it feels so amazingly blissful to finally be making that next step!

Back to the ring - I'm truly, truly in love - looks like a smallish table, high crown, probably 5 breaks on the pavilian - if it's not a Royal it's an amazing, amazing generic! Please, wear that ring in good health - you have a huge fan of your ring!

Thanks Laura! I love your Asscher as well, it''s in such a sleek, elegant setting. =)

I''ve adored Asscher stones for quite awhile now because they have such a rich, romantic history. They were really popular during a lovely era, then disappeared for a really long time. There''s a certain mystery to that which intrigues me. They''re starting to make a comeback now, though few jewelers have good Asscher stones available. Personally, it makes me feel really special to have such a unique stone. I can''t stop staring at it! Every time I look at my Asscher, I feel like I''ve been transported to another time and place.

Pardon my poetic ramblings...one of the symptoms of being newly engaged...

Yowza!!

Lovely! Beautiful stone and it looks HUGE on your finger!

I do love an asscher (my ering is an asscher as well) and yours is faboo!!

Would any of you ladies mind sharing pictures of your rings? (both Asscher and non-Asscher rings welcome) I just love looking at diamond jewelry!

What a gorgeous stone and setting! I love the engraving!

I think most PSers won''t hesitate to post a pic of his or her ring!

Here''s my ering.

1.57 vvs2, I color. Prong set in a halo. I got married last September...and I still haven''t really taken any pics of my ering with my band...I''ll have to get on it.
