Thank you all for your kind words! I am still amazed at how sparkly the stone is - I think it is even sparklier set than it was loose. I have never had a diamond before, but now I don''t think I could do without

Matatora, that''s a pretty good guess - the band is somewhere between 3.5 - 3.75 at its widest, but the prongs come out a little on the sides. I think I would like either a plain gold 3.5 mm band, or a channel set eternity band.

I know I'm a bit late coming to the congratulations party, but I just saw your ring in the e-ring folder thread and had to say how much I like your ring.

I'm really back into my yellow gold stuff in a big way (all my white gold and platinum is languishing away in the safe

) and I have to say that your ring is my ideal in terms of diamond size and a setting for an e-ring. I couldn't justify yet another diamond e-ring (well I could but I couldn't sell the idea to my other half) so I got myself a fake one

. It's the same setting as yours, same band width, same head and in 18ct yellow gold, but with a 1ct sim. I love it. A plain gold band or a full eternity band (or both!) goes really well with it too.
