O.M.G, you were holding out! That is so coool! The diamond looks so perfect. The first pic should be your profile picture from now now. Also I hink the undercarriage is a good idea, I would be so worried about a totally exposed cutlet.

Thank you everyone! It means a lot! If ony you knew what I went through resetting it sooo many times. I think anything custom you have to make multiple times it get it right. I also designed this necklace which obviously gives my name away. Lol

Farrayn, below is a photo of the mold. It has little holes drilled in, but the jeweler had to build the inside and add the prongs from scratch. Took him two full business days to set the stones. I am in awe of his work. I’m in my 20’s and usually get treated poorly in jewelry stores. One woman in a store walked away from me to help another customer who had just entered- like “what is he doing here.” I was soo upset I just walked out. Everything about the process and this new store was incredible.

Please, please learn from my mistakes! I love this setting because the diamond sparkles just like it did when it was loose! It just took a long time to get here. I gave my (incredible) fiancé my first diamond and it is set the same way, but 6mm band and no side stones.
