I’m curious - I’ve always loved this style and was wondering if the prongs catch on anything or if they feel smooth! They seem a little “wider” than normal claw prongs!

The prongs feel very smooth and don’t catch on anything. I wear it all day and at night, rarely taking it off. I like that the prongs work as an almost bezel and add the extra protection. The only con for me is that the bottom is so exposed that diamond gets dirty quicker than with a closed setting (soap, lotion, etc). I would absolutely get this setting again if I were to upgrade the stone.

May I ask - is there a name for these types of prongs? I’m always fascinated how they look like flower pedals. I think I need this for my next reset!

I’m not really sure of the prong name. I had just given him an exact picture of what I wanted (something he had already made before for a fellow PSer). I really love this ring, and as usual, pictures can’t capture the beauty the eyes see
