Well I think this will be the one. I just sent back the first stone because it was a G VS2 with a black crystal inclusion visible from the side with the naked eye. I was not happy about that. This stone is eye clean from all sides. It is a 3.31 GIA G VS2 with a HCA of .9
Now I am still thinking about the setting. I am probably going to do the 3 stone setting.

It looks beautiful! It spans across your entire finger though, at least in these pics...are you sure there's room for side stones?

That was my first thought as well, but perhaps the finger position, temp prongs and camera angle are making it look a little like that?

it is fabulous though!

It is definitely sticking up high in the temporary prongs. I know it looks larger than it is on my hand. I hope they can angle side stones if I decide to go that way. I keep wavering between side stones and a halo. I love Frankie's halo. I also like Leon Mege's three stone with pear sides. Some of you sent me links when I showed my first stone.

It looks like a beautiful stone - so glad you changed it out! Do you have specs on this stone for us?

Damn, that's huge on your finger! Gorgeous too of course :naughty:

Thanks! I am very happy with this stone!! I am sooooo glad that I sent the other one back. I was kind of upset that the first one was sent without telling me about the black inclusion on the side that could be seen. I think he knew better this time around before sending out this diamond.

Specs are

Wow that's huge and gorgeous! I wouldn't do a halo or 3 stone because it's already so big. Maybe something simpler - double claw prongs with diamonds around the shank.

Woooo!

Ditto!

What a GORGEOUS stone...don't think you have any room for side stones though!

From these pictures, I really don't think I'd try to embellish this stone either. It looks very substantial on your hand and crowding more stones or halo in would be distracting IMO. I do like the earlier suggestion of claw prongs and a diamond shank!

That's such a beautiful stone!!! It looks so great on you!!!

Wow that's incredible!! *swoon*

Thank you for the link and suggestions. I will keep looking and try to decide on my setting. It helps when others give great ideas and input. I really appreciate all the advice I can get! :appl:

Gorgeous. I think a setting with very small side stones might be nice. Like baguettes or small bullets or even small pears or rounds. Aggie Texan has a 2.5ct with .25ct sides and I think siimlarly small sides, even .25s as well, would look nice with your diamond.

I completely agree! Fabulous stone!

GORGEOUS stone!! Obviously, you should do whatever makes you happy setting-wise, but if I had a stone that lovely with that much finger coverage, I think I'd want to just glue it to my finger and call it a day!

I have checked out all of your links! Thanks everyone and Jazzoboe you are too funny!

That's a stunner, I personally would keep it simple - it just makes a statement all on it's own.
