My new tourmaline ring!

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking over all the coloured stone threads for a few months now and decided to join today.

I recently received my reset tourmaline ring and wanted to share it with everyone here

Without further ado:

Here she is! (Approx 8mm brilliant cut mauve/pink tourmaline ring)

I could only snap one picture for now but will be back with more photos tommorrow morning.

So far, so good, can't wait to see more. it looks like there is nice detailing on the shank and delicate double prongs. Plus its a pretty color stone.

Thank you and you are spot on -There is a bit of detail on the sides but my camera can't seem to capture it very well today.. Plus the lighting is horrible in the house right now so I'll try to take some better shots in daylight

Minerva - that is a BEAUTY!!! The stone has such a rich warmth tone and the RG really sets it off - very nice setting, too! Great ring - I'm so glad that you posted more pics!!!

- minousbijoux: The setting originally had a different stone in it but I had it switched with the pink tourm instead So I guess it would be a pre-fab (which I assume means pre-fabricated?) setting.

- Enerchi: Thank you very much! I wasn't sure if the gold colour would go well with the pink but I'm glad I went through with it

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, it made my day and made me feel a little less crazy since I've become a teeny bit obsessed with the ring hehe My family aren't big-time jewellery lovers so it's nice to share photos with people passionate for gemstones as much as I am hehe
