Beautiful ring!!! I have to say I'm so jealous because right now my diamond is with Victor also getting the Emilya setting and I still have at least another 3 week wait till I get mine back!
I do have a question though. When I talked to Victor he was really against wearing ANY wedding bands with this ring. Did you alter the Emilya to allow for a band? I'm just curious as I really want to wear a wedding band with my set but don't want to ruin the ring.

Sarah, I know that pain!
However, it really is worth it!! I promise.
I deliberately left diamonds off the donut of my ring because, having been married for almost 15 years (wow, how did that go so fast ) I couldn't envisage NOT wearing one. I am a creature of habit. 
Victor has said that he is unsure if the diamonds on the struts (or whatever the technical term is ) will wear away a ring worn alongside the Emilya.
So I purchased a cheap white gold band to wear meantime and I am in communication with VC about the matching diamond eternity band and possibly a 1.9mm matching platinum wire band.
I haven't decide what I want to do yet, but will decide after further discussion with the master himself.
He is a darling, isn't he?
Keep me posted about your ring as the journey is almost as exciting as getting the ring.

That is BLINDINGLY gorgeous!!! SPectacular workmanship (duh! of course!!!) and such a gorgeous stone! I love the halo and the pave on the underside. EVERY one of your photos were perfect (and still... we could always look at more!!! more MORE!!! - got any sunshine/ fire shots??? )

Thanks for the update. I did leave diamonds on the donut because it is one of the design elements that I love. I guess if I change it I need to contact VC asap. In regards to Victor I found him to be very good on email but not over friendly or offering advise. When I talked to him on the phone once I didn't get the warm fuzzies either. I'm not sure if it is just me because everyone seems to love working with him and I just felt like I was pesting him so he wanted me off the phone.

Thank you for your assistance in the previous thread SLG . It was a bit of a slog trying to get it up . However, it was worth it. I adore looking at everyone else's pictures and this was my may of paying that back.

I love it, I really do.
I will be doing another shoot to try and capture the sparkle. The first shots I only chose the ones that showed the structure so others could see what it is like in person. Next time it'll be the view I see most often. SPARKLE BOMB
