gyspy it is AMAZING!!! everything about it is TDF - how ingenious to make it so that you can wear it as a pin or a pendant. it looks beautiful around your neck. i think it would also translate well for a bracelet - that way YOU could stare at it without a mirror!

oo, oo, i was thinking a bangle-type bracelet with the design at the top, but LINKS of them, smaller, encircling your wrist.....

Gypsy, your pendant is absolutely beautiful! I love how it looks on you--so elegant!

Brian created an heirloom worthy piece for you, fantastic! As others have said, your pendant looks wonderful on you, either as a pin or pendant. I am so happy for you!

What a fabulous and versatile piece. Well done Gypsy and BG!

WOW, you are all so amazing! I just looked at how many replies there are and WOW. I remember MsSalvo''s amazing pendant from Pearlmans and I have to say, that sparked a lot of my desire for a flowery custom pendant. I love how we inspire each other.

Paula, where is your gorgeous spinel. I may be buying something from Dan this weekend (we''ll see if John kills me or not) and I was wondering how your color project is progressing (will ask on CS in case you don''t see this).

I fully believe that gold platinum and diamonds can take your stress away. I''ve had another fun day with reminders of why I hate the management of my group at (&)^&*@!#^&% Fire Alarm.

Oh my gosh, Gypsy! Your pendant just turned out AMAZINGLY gorgeous! I absolutely LOVE that you incorporated a pin into it, and now you have my wheels TOTALLY spinning! I just love brooches, and your pendant is PERFECT either way.

I''m just floored at how gorgeous it all turned out! Congratulations on your 10th anniversary, and a very lovely pendant that took my breath away!

This is the most stunning thing I have seen in forever! Brilliant idea to be able to wear it as both- and it is simply perfect! I am in love!!

False fire alarm.

THANK YOU LAUREN AND SHINDIG, If this is giving anyone ideas... I highly suggest following them to fruition, horrible enabler than I am.

hehehe.

Okay, so I may not have more pics tonight. I''m needing a night out and a stiff drink. And not in that order. And of course, my new pendant is coming with me. LOL.

Oh yeah babeeeee, that''s what I''M talkin'' about!!!

Gypsy, it is GORGEOUS! Absolutely gorgeous!

What''re the size of the stones? Total carat weight? And what are Brian''s melee called (I''m assuming NOT ACAs?)

Yum! That is a BEAUTIFUL piece of jewelry - just beautiful!

Now... More. Pictures. Please!!!

I think that says it all.

Hi Lynn... approximately .6 (little over) Brian Gavin Signature Diamonds F/G color VS and so bright and amazing. I will take pics of it with my seven stone band so you can see the difference the cut makes. It''s astonishing. They are 1 and 2 pointers. And there are 30 something of them. I may be wrong on the exact point size, I''m really tired (about asleep) so don''t hold me to it.

I will post more pictures tomorrow. I promise.

I am definitely over the moon, cns. 100%

Musey. I totally agree with your eloquent post. It''s lovely. People were staring at it tonight. And it was a good stare, you know?

It''s great! Congrats!

It''s just gorgeous. I''m in love!

I rememebered last night that I had recovered my 18inch wheat chain from the pawn shop after the robbery, and tried it out with the pendant, and Sundail you were right, it does even look better with a more substantial chain. So I went to the mall and tried on a few and decided that I want a 20 inch 1.5mm round wheat chain in 14K white gold for it, but the prices at the mall were RIDICULOUS (seriously) so... now I've just got to figure out where I can get a chain from.

Any ideas where to get an affordable chain from? I'll bribe with pics?
9.gif
I'm going to take a couple more neckshots so you can see it with the heavier chain, then show you the what it would look like with a 20 inch chain as well. Oh and while I was in BBB (one of the stores I visited) I tried on a necklace that I had been in love with prior to getting this one, and wow, you could really see the difference. It's amazing how well made and constructed and finished this piece is, cause that was a lovely necklace compared to others I've seen around.

WOW Gypsy!!! It looks beyond amazing on you.....WOW!!!!

Sorry I didn''t get to this thread sooner. My MIL passed this week and it has been crazy here. I decided to log on to PS tonight for a little diamond therapy and there was your thread and this stunning piece of jewlery. I am so happy for you that you have this beautiful piece. Brian and Lesley did an amazing job. Please wear it in good health.

BTW I LOVE the fact that you can wear it as a broach as well. That is such a great idea. I am REALLY wanting one of these now!!!!!!!

KT, my condolences on your and your DH''s loss.

Thank you honey! I wish we lived closer, I''ve got to get mitts on your five stone ring and try it on (not to mention get a closer look at your studs). And you could see the pendant in person.

I love that it''s convertable. I''m trying to chose between chains. I like the wheat chain, but I''m consider a ''popcorn'' chain now. So many chains our there.

Cudy on House was just (DVR) wearing a necklace with similar size. I do love the size of it. I wanted something larger, and this one is just right.

The camera batteries are dead

. We''ll take pics tomorrow in grandma''s garden.

I tried on studs today. .50 ctw bezels. I think .6something total carat weight will work well.

Is Bailey Banks and Biddle going out of business? Anyone know? When we were in there today there was a strange sale, and some weird vibes going on.There''s definitely something going on there.

Gypsy: I saw your wax thread... and then your new avatar... but I just now stumbled upon this thread. All I can say is WOW! That is one stunning pendant, and the quality of the workmanship comes through clearly even in the photos!

So... a few questions, if you don''t mind.

Is there a thread about this beauty''s conception and creation? Was this another collaborative effort?

I noticed the 14k hallmark... but did BG add a designer''s hallmark?

I can''t wait to see it in person! And to see you again too, of course...

This is a masterpiece through and through. I loved the wax, knew something truly special was to come. Can I just say WOW?? It''s awesome Layla. Wear it in the best of health..... Brian and Lesely did a great job!!!!

Hi VR! I can''t wait to see you at the GTG too. You must be reading my mind because it'' doesn''t have a BG hallmark, and I was actually going to ask Brian about that. I would really like one. I wonder if they can add it still. I love their new logo and would adore a hallmark on here.

1. It was only collaborative ONLY to the extent that I had certain specifications and sent Brian a Powerpoint with pictures of different pendants and some mosaic floor tile designs that gave him an idea I wanted. The CAD thread traces the progress https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-pendant-cads-are-here.109711/

Lisa, thank you so very much. When I look back on the CADS, it''s just amazing to see how accurate they were. The pendant is identical to it. I am genuinely tickled pink with it. They met, and exceeded my expectations. Do you remember YEARS ago there were discussions on the board about exhibition quality pieces versus pieces for retail sale? The first thing I thought when I saw it was that this piece is just straight exhibition quality in execution. Today when we were in the mall, wow. I had my pendant on the counter and was trying on different chains with it and I couldn''t help but compare it to the pieces carried at the three stores we visited. There was really no comparison. Being a PSer has such lovely perks-- like Brian and Lesley. Can''t complain.

It''s beautiful, stunning, and truly a wonderful piece!! I love that it can also be worn as a pin. It looks fantastic on you as well.

I''m sorry I''m late to all of the fun, I''ve been out of town for a few days.

Hi KC... hope you had fun OOT! Thank you, I wore it as a pin when we went out a couple of times this weekend and it''s so cool to be able to do that.

YAY! More pics. This time with the heavier chain (wheat chain). I did decide on a two or three strand plain chain for the pendant, much thanks to cellentani for the recommendation (and for posting her gorgeous necklaces to show me her chains.

I don''t know why but our picture taking skills have just gone down hill (out of practice? LOL), I know they don''t compare to Brian''s at all. My mother and grandmother had nothing but good things to say about my necklace today when they saw it, which if you''ve ever followed my stories about the opinionated women in my family you will KNOW is rare.

Duncan checking out the pendant...

DSC00816.JPG

Hally kept trying to bat it and bite it, and Frodo thought we were trying to kill him (a wee bit paranoid) but Duncan was amendable to the new addition to mommy's bling (sorry the pics was really neat, but blurry).

You know what I realized today? With the five petals, it has ten 'spokes' in the wheel and it is a 10th anniversary gift. I don't know if that was intentional on Brian's part but I thought it was the coolest thing.

DSC00810.JPG

The sun would NOT come out today (or yesterday) so we could not get a fire shot for the life of us. The diamonds are REALLY super bright and firey though. It''s so neat to see their amazing performance in comparision to my single cut halo, and my mom''s ''vintage'' ring with traditional cut rounds. I think I''ve fallen in love with the BGD''s.

The only flower shot of the bunch that was even vaguely good.

DSC00809.JPG

Whoops apparently John caught one with the orchids when I wasn't paying attention. Second flower pic-- again, sorry the pic quality isn't that great. Gonna ask John to read some of the photo taking threads and see if we can improve on this.

I forgot to take pics of the different diamonds in one shot. I will so you can see how the different cuts perform. It's really neat and I think it would be good for other's to see.

DSC00813.JPG

You can see that I had it looped through the ''pin'' part of the necklace instead of the bail today. The bail looks great on, because it''s laying against you but you can''t hold it up and photograph with it on... at least I can''t, I just don''t have the skill.

Last one for the day. Promise to get pics of the halo (single cuts), the seven stone vintage band (traditional rounds) and the pendant (ideal rounds) next time. Hopefully outside when the weather''s not funky. I have the best luck with indirect sunlight outside.
