Wink,
I''ve never know anyone to mind receiving the stone earlier than expected.

It cheers me up to see such quality gemstones.
It makes me happy to hear you call them "quality" gemstones.

Prepare to be dazzled!!!!!

Oh good heavens! I was so busy that I took time from a project to make your video then did not include the link. Sigh.

I have sent it to you just a moment ago. I am sorry.

You will probably have the stone by the time you see my video.

gorgeous blue color,, usually I''m not that big of fan of sapphire (maybe because I haven''t seen a beauty like yours), but that Blue is making me think otherwise!

I cheated and watched it, it''s very, very nice. Lots of sparkle, and if the color is better in person, wowee!

Wow that ring is gonna be unbelievable!

Stone came today. I''ll post the video later hopefully. Took some pics, but they aren''t turning out well at all! Busy day!

I hope you get some good pics today. I want to see more of that beauty.

Well, what do you think? I don''t think anyone can possibly be displeased with anything Rirchard cuts and Wink is such a pleasure to work with.

Beautiful!

beautiful stone! Looking forward to seeing your pics!

Here are a couple pictures of the stone. I had a very difficult time getting good shots. I admire those of you who take good pictures! I just noticed that I have fingerprinted it to heck. I don''t have jeweler''s tweezers. I know it looks bad-sorry. More pics later I hope.

Wow! Beautiful!

Deep, rich blue, great faceting, an even better polish...very nice!

Thanks Mr. ma re, what color do you think I should use for the bezel (James Meyer setting) now that you see the color of the stone? (shank will be white gold) Would yellow gold be better or paltinum?

I still think that white metal might make it too dark. It would still be rich and blue, but maybe overly dark. Yellow can bring out the green from sapphires, but I don''t think you have to worry about that with this kind of color.

I personally would stick with white metal unless you really want to mix in some yellow gold. That stone looks really hard to photograph, but still absolutely lovely. I can''t wait to see the finished product!

Love the richness of the blue. Very pretty stone. I vote for white metal.

The colour is so fabulous that I think you can go with either yellow or white. I normally advise blue sapphires to be set only in white due to yellow metal bringing out the green of the sapphire but this one is so pure than you can get away with a yellow bezel if you choose to go that route.

Thanks mr. ma re, Freke, mochi and Chrono. Yes, I have had one heck of a time getting good photos of this stone. It is lovely, and rich looking, but the photographs don't do it justice. I am still so conflicted as to the bezel color. I just want to make the right decision. Ugh!

Your observation is excellent with this gem, there is no green in the sapphire to bring out. Your observation about the polish was also spot on! Thank you!

Agreed, I think you captured the color nicely!

I talked to James Meyer today. I will be sending him the stone tomorrow. I told him I am taking the indecisive way out and am going to think about the setting color while the stone is winging its way there. He said the setting should take 2 to 2 1/2 weeks to complete.

2 1/2 weeks is pretty fast. Can''t wait to be surprised by your metal choice.
