I'm so excited!

I was kind of obsessing over some buttercup settings I had seen, and after sitting on it for awhile, decided that I would really love that style. I like how it gives the illusion of a larger stone like a halo, but isn't exactly a halo.

Anyway, I collected a few pics of what I liked and commissioned an etsy jeweler with whom I had previously worked and really liked to make it. She has been FABULOUS with very fast responses and fast work in general.

Tonight she sent me pics of the finished product. The ring is a size 7, platinum, and my stone is a .93 OEC. I will go from a finger spread of 6.2mm to 8.2mm! I am so pleased with it!

The jeweler is GillianAlexander on etsy. All the materials she used are recycled from vintage scrap!

I'll post more pics when I get it :)

Thank you! I'm all giddy about it lol

These are the only ones she sent me for now, but she said she will take more tonight. And of course I am sure I will take a ton when I get it :P

Wow! Really stunning. You have a besutiful ring. And I like that the designer has produced it in a durable way, using used materials
I am looking forward to see more pics once ypu have received it.

Congratulations, how exciting! What a unique setting, I really like the buttercup design. Can't wait until you get it and are able to show it off !

Nice job! I really like how she used reclaimed materials and kept the vintage vibe very strong on it! Can't wait to see a full spread of pics!

So pretty. We do need those larger pics.

wow-that's gorgeous! I like that the setting is lower than the other buttercups where the stone sits up so much higher than the setting itself.

Thank you! I agree; that was one of the things I worked with her on. I only wanted the girdle of the stone to be 1 mm from the buttercup.

So pretty!!! :appl:

A very pretty ring that goes well with your stone! :))

Lovely, you must be very happy :wavey:

It's lovely!

Oh I love it!! I love this style of setting, such a great way to add finger coverage without going the diamond halo route - I seriously considered it for my reset - it looks so nicely made, I can't wait to see pics of it on your hand!

It is beautiful, I adore the setting!

Beautiful!!!
