Radiants are my favourite!!! It is beautiful!

Wanted to pop back in to say that I love how low it sits... that is fabulous!!

I had fun playing with my diamond those few days.

You would have had a giggle if you''d have been able to see me, I was like a little kid fascinated with my new "toy".

For fun here''s another pic of the stone unset. It''s laying on the long side, table facing to the bottom right corner of the image with the cutlet at the top. The lighting is just early morning sunshine coming through a window and I created the shadow by slightly cupping my hand.

Wow - those loose shots are insane! Of course, I love the whole thing, but that Radiant is a little fireball!

Congrats!

SO beautiful! I expecially love the setting view from the side! Congrats on your engagement.

I had the diamond at my house for several days before I had to ship it off to be set. I was playing around one morning and captured this shot with the stone in the palm of my hand. It''s my little piece of a star. lol

When I was trying to decide on the diamond, the last two I was considering from I had shipped to me at the same time. When this one came out of its package I was instantly in love!

It had so much personality it seemed to be screaming 'pick me, pick me!' LOL I didn't comment which stone I preferred, but when my fiance came home that night I pulled them both out and he instantly was drawn to this stone as well. We knew we had finally found our radiant!

Irishgrrrl thanks for the "welcome" I'm happy to be part of the club.

To those of you out there searching for a radiant, don't get disappointed if you look at many stones before one calls out to you. Numbers can point you in the right direction but these beauties truly do have to be seen to be appreciated.

Gorgeous ring, girlie-girl! That last shot is insanely beautiful. I love Danhov settings and yours is wonderful with that icy-fiery radiant! Looks stunning on your hand!

The enlongated radiant set into a split shank is a stunning combination. The diamond looks a lot bigger than 1.01 ct.!!!! Congrats!

Hi g-g!! Your ring is beautiful. That stone looks huge and the setting is just perfectly proportioned

Wow...just like everyone has said, this is a beutiful ring! I have a few questions for you....are you planning on wearing a wedding band with your ring and if so, what are you thinking in terms of style? I know there are several links with opinions on wearing vs. not wearing a band with a split shank. What are you thinking? I am very drawn to choosing a ring similar to what you have for the same reasons...I really don''t want something that looks exactly like everyone else''s.

Also, I''m not familiar with radiant cuts...can anyone enlighten me on how they vary in price vs. a round or oval? Thanks!

Your ring is just gorgeous!!! I really love rectangular radiants, and that setting is lovely for it. Congratulations!

Congratulations girlie-girl...Your ring reminds me of Kcoursolle''s ering (gorgeous!). I agree with Posh about how low it sits; very nice!

That''s a beautiful ring and it looks so pretty on your hand!! HOORAY

ewhittle: I went back and forth on whether to get a wedding band (or two) made to fit my ring. I even Photoshopped a basic idea and decided it took away from the look that I loved so much with this setting.

Instead I did a bit of a symbolic thing and it wasn''t planned but it fit in perfectly. You see we were to be married on 08-08-08 and after deciding I didn''t like how my setting looked with the additional bands, I found an eight stone shared prong band. With all those eights, who could pass it up? LOL Both rings were part of our ceremony but I wear the eight stone ring on my right hand. The other thing was that we had decided we liked the idea of the wedding ring and engagement ring being all inclusive. Most people think it''s really cool when they realize it''s actually one ring, not two soldered together.

Good luck deciding! Thanks again for the compliments!
