I posted a full glamor shoot over on SMTB to share the secret of colored stones with the masses.

But I wanted to share the best of them with all of you, since everyone was so very helpful in finding the stone, vetting it, giving suggestions about the setting, and holding my hands through the long wait. You guys are the best! Special shout out to Colorluvr who is my #1 enabler.

I completely agree with your favourite picture above- that ruby mimics the flowers perfectly and I love the fire! Great shot!

The ruby is 2.04 carats, Burma, light heat, certificate from GRS, stated pigeon blood red. The mounting was customized by IDJewlery. The shank and the ruby prongs are 18k yellow gold. The 1.35 ctw of F/G VS diamonds are in white gold.

I intended to have the outer prongs modified being concerned they may be too "pointy," but they turned out absolutely perfect as they are!
