My sapphire bling....

My birthday is in September, so I love sapphires. These are 2 custom rings my jeweler made for me. The first is a 3 (ish) carat yellow emerald cut set in platinum with a diamond halo and diamonds down the side. It weighs a ton. While he was remaking my first wedding set, I wore this as my e-ring. Everyone thought it was a canary diamond. The second is a 2 (ish) carat cushion cut ceylon sapphire. The color is amazing. It was hand fabricated of platinum, not sure how the big the diamonds on the sides are....

I actually wore this for a while as my E-Ring while my old set was being made into the cocktail ring in my avatar. I got tons of compliments. My jeweler just told me to tell everyone it was my grandmother's canary diamond. He said no one would be able to tell unless they put it under a loupe....

They are AMAZING! I love both and blue sapphires are my favourite, but in this case I think my true love is is the yellow sapphire. It's such a regal setting!

but I am moving to Mass soon. I will miss my jeweler!! He is a good friend and our neighbor! He has inherited the family business from his own father. I think they've been in business since 1959. He is now doing more custom work rather than selling jewelry out of the case...
