Lauren,
That is the ring I was thinking of! Did you change your photograph? That is so pretty and you have quite an asscher family. I see PT cut that for you. I have his latest Danburite asscher. They really are hard to photograph. You do a better job than the professionals with the photography. The Danburite I got from him is so brilliant I cannot tell for sure, but it may have a slight pink cast. (PT thought the same.) I may have it set in a pink gold for that reason. Is the gold on this ring colored? It looks like it may be. Thanks for sharing.
My scapolite is 2.61 ct., 8.26mm x 8.27mm x 6.15mm and I had the ring made in a size 5.Date: 8/4/2009 10:36:39 PM

Lauren, I am just loving your ring - and your entire collection! I''m still thinking about my aqua project, thinking about doing a bezel instead of the prongs. Would you mind telling me the mm of the scapolite, and your finger size? Thanks so much! Also, in case it helps you - whiteflash won''t set my aqua in a bezel, but they''ll do it in prongs.

....................wow...*faints*
VRBeauty - thank you!
Pink Tower - I found it and wanted to link it for anyone else who wanted to see it - so pretty! It''s on his photostream, and I can''t link it here. I''ll be interested to see what Julia dreams up for you! She''s been in high demand around here lately! I never did see the post by Benell, I''ll have to go do some searching.
LamborghiniGirl - thank you so much for your kind words. The aqua is more than likely going to end up prob set. I haven''t settled on a final piece yet, but Ellen''s ring really stole my heart, so I may go in a simple direction like that. We shall see!
Cellantini - he wouldn''t have done it if he thought he would have damaged the stone. I''m pretty impressed with his work on this ring, and it''s really right up his alley so I wasn''t *too* worried about leaving it in his hands.
AmethystGuy - thank you for stopping by! I really love it, and I feel like this is my first real coloured stone heirloom quality ring. I''m beyond pleased with how it came out.
Awwww, Gailey, thanks for your kind words, my dear! I let this thread die a while back, so it''s nice to see that it''s back a bit.Date: 8/7/2009 10:18:17 AM

Mea culpa!
How did I fail to respond to this gorgeous stone and ring??????? My only excuse is that I had just begun work for the season, which is no excuse at all. So please forgive my rudeness Miss Lauren, it was certainly not intended. It''s an absolute triumph of a project. Not least of all because it is such a soft stone. Of course Peter did a fantastic job on the cut - no surprise there, but your jeweler must be a master to take on and succeed with such a delicate stone.
It''s F.A. B. M''lady!
Lauren, is this the same jeweler you take all LOGR legacy settings to? I''ve got an 8mm topaz that I''d like bezeled in a legacy, but my jeweler is reluctant. Since he''s familiar with the setting (thanks to you!), do you think he''d be willing to take an out-of-state customer? It''s the same ring and stone as in my thread.Date: 8/6/2009 12:32:38 PM

Yes, it's the same one. This is a link to his information - http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=0h&oq=jb+jewelers&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4ADBR_enUS318US318&q=jb+jewelers+plano+txDate: 8/7/2009 3:27:16 PM
