My Steven Kirsch Sapphire setting

This ring is fit for a Queen! (and all the gifs on this thread are hilarious)

did you ask Steven if he knew of anyone that could appraise? I am also wondering if you went into a high end store like Tiffany's, cartier, etc.. if they would have someone or a referral.

I did not ask that but asked him if he could do one. He said no , he is not an appraiser. GIA gave me the name of a Sapphire specialist and although he is far from me, I will reach out to him as soon as Steven sends me the setting information . Great thought on one of the stores you mentioned. I would not have thought of that. I'll call around this next week . Thank you for the suggestions!

Whaaaaa???
I just...
I can't even...
No words....

Wowzers!!! Stunning result!!

Congrats!!!

Do you know any of the history of the sapphire, that would be so interesting.

It came from my Grandparents. I wish I had asked about all of the things I have from them . He gifted all of her jewelry to me several years before he passed but I did not think to ask about any of it. She died before I was born. My Dad's mother had magnificent jewelry.

Wow, that is absolutely stunning! Insane. :kiss2:

Good gawd, that’s an incredible ring. And I say this as someone who doesn’t insure all my stuff - GET THAT APPRAISED & INSURED. Beyond the cost, that stone is irreplaceable - ts size, it’s age, it’s being unheated and clear - most of the good stuff has a already been pulled out of the dirt ages ago and new rough that can yield a finished stone such as this is few and far between.

I finally received Steven's photo's and details on my ring. There are 200 diamonds, total carats at 2.51 and an unheated Ceylon sapphire, 25 carats, set in platinum .He did such a beautiful job for me. c2.jpgc1.jpgI am still smitten with this ring.

Oh my goodness what an honour to own something so beautiful. The setting is really befitting to the majesty of the stone. So stunning and so rare. Gorgeous!

In October for my Birthday, I reached out to Steven to see if he could make a setting for my Sapphire. He made my diamond wedding setting a year and a half ago and I love it. This Sapphire has been in my family for many years, so with not much to go on ,I sent it to GIA for a certificate to learn what I could about it and determine if it was worthy of a "Steven" setting. It came back an all natural, unheated Sapphire from Sri Lanka. They said it was an old stone based on the cut which would match up with the bit of history I had on it. Steven went to work to bring my vision to life . I wanted platinum with bows and swags and lots of diamonds , Milgrain and Pave work .I wanted a right hand ring that would blend seamlessly with my diamond setting, I wear every day. I just received it today and I absolutely love it. I am posting a few pictures and please excuse my dry hands. I am in awe at the meticulous attention to detail that Steven puts into his pieces. I am so happy I stumbled upon this site and found Steven through so many of you posting your pieces by him. I took these pictures outside in natural light, no filters with my phone. I am also not a photographer so pardon the wonkiness of my pictures . LOVE, LOVE Steven Kirsch!
