My upgrade is here! 2.53 ct E VS2 60/60

Hello everyone,

My upgrade from BN has finally got to me and after wearing it for two days I’ve decided to keep it! I was unsure at the beginning because I was told it’s a 60/60 diamond, didn’t know what’s the difference between this and super ideals and have never seen one in person. I was just afraid it will be a lot worse than my original diamond which was a BN Astor. It was a rough journey during the upgrade as well. Long story short, after waiting almost a year for another Astor that caught my eyes with no success, I decided to look amongst ideals. Then my eyes landed on a 2.37 d vs1 without image, while I was still waiting for the image I was told it’s sold. Then I found this 2.53, decided to proceed, dropped off my original ring with their showroom and later was told they couldn’t find the diamond. Anyways at the end they still gave me the full value of my original ring and I was able to upgrade. Fastforward the ring arrived....I fell in love with the size immediately (it sure doesn’t look as big as two days ago.) The diamond is always white and bright under almost all light conditions (probably due to the bigger table, shallower depth and crown angle.) But it still has a decent amount of sparkle and fire. I don’t have anything to complain about. It might not be the perfect diamond, not one of those super ideals (only found out about them after joined this community), but it seems like the perfect one for me.

I want to thank everyone who has helped me in reaching my final decision when I was stuck in my dilemma. Special shout out to @diamondseeker2006 @Karl_K @LLJsmom @AllAboardTheBlingTrain This is such a wonderful community and so many informative threads, I’ve learned so much! And will undoubtedly continue to follow.

Finally I’ve some photos here to share. It sure is hard to take a good one. I hope I did my ring justice. (Please ignore the wedding band as it’s just a temp until I find a good match.)

I feel like I’m just falling deeper and deeper in love with my ring as everyday goes by. It’s been pretty cloudy for the past few days and I haven’t been able to enjoy it as much in bright sunlight
I just caught a glimpse of my ring this morning and all these rainbow looked so spectacular! It’s very hard to capture through my cell phone camera and I did the best I could. So is this scintillation?? I’ve learned these terms and still trying to match them with what I see...
