At first they were 18K yellow gold screw backs, but something in my body chemistry turned them red. Anyone else experience this?

I always knew VC pieces were intricate, but even the findings they use have the tiniest details:

The posts were changed to platinum and VC added "saucer" backs. There are two tiny buttons on either edge of the back. Just press the buttons and put the post through. They are quite comfy and secure; I had never heard of them before...
