Thank you for your lovely words LtlFirecracker, MoonWater, erica k, lyra, San Diego Lady (again!), Tacori E-ring, Selkie, bling addict. ahappygirl, AnitaT, Diamondseeker2006, ginzagirl, Skippy123, Coatimundi, Sera, weegem, and dragonfly411 !
LtlFirecracker - I was afraid that VC earrings would be heavy, but you're right...they are really delicate!
erica k - I cannot take all off the credit for my photos. It's mostly just my camera. I just have a regular Canon digital elph, but it does have 4x optical zoom and also image stabilization. That helps my pictures come out clearer, at least in natural light.

Here are the specs:
Handmade chased and pierced earrings by Van Craeynest
18K yellow gold underplate with posts, saucer backs, and flower sculpture in platinum
0.10 ctw of bead set diamonds
0.20 ctw of bezel set ceylon sapphires
VC makes these earrings in three different sizes. Mine are the medium version and are 7mm in diameter. As for price, brace yourself, they were a little over 2K. I wonder if they are less without the platinum backs and posts, and if you provide your own sapphires to set. I received these as a gift this past Christmas/Haunukkah and did not learn about the price until just recently. I had to sit down for a minute after learning what it was, but I''m still very happy with them.
You got it. I will most definitely let you know when I''m in the area again. I am currently waiting to hear an offer from a company I''ve been interviewing so that will determine my schedule this spring/summer, but as soon as I know my availability I will let you know in a thread here, probably over in hangout. I''m pretty familiar with Greenwood even though I used to live in Fishers, so I could certainly meet you there...then again I have lots of old friends who have returned to b-ton recently and since my family is so close that might work just as well. I like both Thai and Cheesecake Factory, so no problem there! I don''t think we will have any issues getting together, as long as both of us are free on the right day! I will let you know sometime in the near future when I will be coming your way, I really look forward to meeting you!Date: 5/18/2008 6:10:05 PM

Thank you so much for looking ladies!
Cool word coinage thekinglives. You''re so right about the gold behind the flowers ... I so love how VC creates a landscape of detail to explore and enjoy. Everytime I look at my pieces I realize a whole world of tiny things I never paid attention to before. Do you notice this with too? It is strange to think of jewelry as a visual and a tactile paradise, but I think that''s what we''ve got here.
Hey Monarch64, just let me know when you''re in b-ton if you would like to swing by. Or we could even meet in Greenwood; there is an awesome Thai restaurant and even a Cheescake Factory there now if that is something you would like to do. Do yo have any other ideas? I''m totally flexible!
