It was a beautiful piece made by Sally but it had two major things wrong with it. Number 1 was that the topaz while large (which I love :naughty: ) was irradiated and well it sort of felt like cheating to me on such a special piece. But I couldn't find another emerald cut gemstone that I really loved to fit in the bracelet I wanted made.
The other issue was because the stone was so deep, around 14mm the gemstone sat really high off my wrist as the pearls connected much lower. It just felt awkward to wear.

After a year of it sitting in my jewelry box, I decided I was going to replace the stone. I contact everyone and looked everywhere for something that might fit. Then one day on PS, wonderful Freke put up her 6ct aqua from Barry that she was selling on the pre-loved forum. I think I emailed her within 5 minutes of her putting it up and then it was mine.

So then I had my bracelet, the new aqua and all I had to do was send it to Sally in Thailand and wait...I waited a little bit longer then I meant too because I had a baby somewhere in all this mess so it took me around 5-6 months to get everything to Sally (who was so patient the entire time). I think we both like the new stone better.

Sally just sent me a few pictures and I will definitely share some more as I get them. :appl:

New Aqua Specs:
6.17 cts
13x9.7mm emerald cut by Barry
Mozambique
Medium to medium/light slightly greenish blue color
Flawless at 10x.

O!M!G! I LOVE LOVE this bracelet - just beautiful!! Congratulations (oh yeah, on the real baby too :twirl: ) !!!

Stunning! I totally and completely hear you on the "cheating by using an irradiated topaz on such a special piece." I have some lovely big blue (irradiated) topazes, but I'd definitely want THAT aqua for a bracelet like that. Good call. Enjoy that bracelet - it is legendary! :appl:

It was pretty before and stunning now. Congrats on both your new babies!

I've been waiting for your update, and the new bracelet is absolutely amazing. :appl:

You are going to enjoy wearing your new aqua and pearl bracelet so much more. It is a great piece, and a timeless look.

Congratulations on the new baby, and please post more pictures of your bling when it arrives.

Yay! I can't wait to see it on your wrist!!!!!! It went to a very very good home. Enjoy it!

Beautiful combo and such a classy bracelet. Wrist shots are a must when it arrives.

I'm sure you are extremely pleased with the outcome. Congratulations and I can't wait to see pictures on your wrist.

What a beautiful and unique piece :appl: Can't wait to see more pics!

 I really like that high crown!

the aqua is a vast improvement....was nice before but now the bracelet sings!

Beautiful.

Ooooooooooo, gorgeous!!!

beautiful. eagerly awaiting more photos x

That looks really lovely. And it seems to fit the pearls much better than the topaz.

Beautiful, timeless piece. Definitely royal.

I have attached a few more pictuers that Sally sent. However, we have hit a rather large issue. I will just say that my bracelet is being sent back to me immediately and I really doubt I will work with Sally on any future projects again. I will start another thread about it once I get my bracelet back in person. I will say that the bracelet is beautiful, but just not what I wanted though in terms of design. I'm really diappointed with how Sally handled everything, but I will start another thread about it later.

The pearls have no knots between them. Why? Best regards, Lee

The pearls are knoted. I can see them in the pictures. I hope that helps!

Wow the stone (aqua? topaz?) that your bracelet is resting on is so big and the color is so delicious. :lickout:

Oh, you should know as you can see it in person, sorry, I guess I just can't distinguish between the knots and the drill holes then, just looks like they are touching each other. Very pretty design. Best regards, Lee

It looks really pretty...I'm interested in seeing what you wanted differently in the design.

Sorry to hear that the redesign did not go well, Sarahbear62. In your new photo it looks like since the aqua is so much smaller than the topaz, that the pearls could go smaller as well, so that things stay in proportion. When I designed my bracelet, I had the advantage of standing there with my aqua at the jewelers, and laying different size pearl strands next to it, then deciding what pearl size to have them order.

That's just what I noticed. Looking forward to your report once you have the bracelet back in hand.

Thanks Tgal and Flygirl- the issue is with the motif. I don't want to get to into it all till I have the bracelet. But basically I told Sally to copy the same motif if possible from the first bracelet. The only 2 requests I made was no hearts or leaf patterns. So I was really surprized when she gave me a heart motif on the new bracelet and then wouldn't redo it unless I paid for it to be redone for a THIRD time :nono: We had some emails back and forth...but once again I want to wait for my bracelet to come back and take a few days to think about everything then I will write a review.

STUNNING!!! Wow - that is totally PRincess Di style! I think the aquamarine enhances the glow from the pearls and the pearls make the aquamarine even that much more intense and 'richer' in hue. It looks amazing! I can't wait to see photos of it on your wrist - it was worth the wait!

Gorgeous, Sarah, just gorgeous!!!

I'm sorry for your frustration, Sarah, because you should have exactly what you want. That said, I truly think its beautiful just the way it is.
