My very first "preloved" aka "used" piece

I still have the broken pieces. It used to be part of a pair of icy jade bangles purchased for me back in 1999. I got out the other one to try on the other day, and my hand has outgrown the bangle. :cry2: I think I'll wait and see whether I eventually make a kid who's interested in my jewelry.
See above..

Oh gosh, how awful! Have you ever considered doing something with the pieces, like a multi segmented bracelet? Once, I fell head over heels in love with a bangle which was simply too tight. It was a 51 by 40 something oval....so I had it sliced in half and put a hinge on it. I know that for some, this would be crazy, but I liked the hinged bangle look enough to be ok with it. If it’s a very valuable bangle though, one loses value by hinging since a solid bangle is worth more than a hinged one. It might be worth just loving it as a non worn piece! Some jewelry is great just to have.
Don't know about jade enough to know what it's worth, but I'll definitely hang on to it for now. Thanks for the suggestion about hinges. Right now I'm more in love with other CS and what money I'm saving up is going towards those. One day I'll look at putting hinges on the bangle. The break seems clean enough. It broke pretty cleanly into 3 pieces, where A+B=C.

Lol, I know exactly what you’re describing with A+B=C!! Just don’t despair because there are always options. I know it’s heart breaking when a beloved piece breaks.
