It’s been a while in the making. And, it is finally here!
I have been a fan of FCD’s for a while. And it was befitting that I got something for my wedding set to reflect my family.

I have been on a roll with my collection of late. And, this is probably the one set to rule them all... for my left hand, at least! Lol.

This search was for my significant birthday in a few years. Given the prices of FCD’s increasing I thought to start the search now.

The design is solitaire and a matching band.
The solitaire is set to one side in a semi- tension setting that I love for solitaires.
The matching band- 6 melee to reflect the number of family members, set to one side.

The stones:

Solitaire: 0.11ct Fancy gray violet which makes the stone look the kind of blue that I like...and I found out it has fluorescence after I got the ring, when I was asked about my green in another thread.

Melee: 2 vivid blues (my DH and me)
4 vivid pinks (our four daughters)
Metal is 18kWG brushed finish.

These are not Argyles stones, as much as I would love to have them. The closure of the mines in 2020, has started the price rise for these 2 colours over the last few years. If they were argyles, it would have increased costs by 2.5x.

I love this set!
Here are some pics and more to come!!!

Thanx so much!!!

Thanx, I wanted a ring to represent my family and I think it turned out alright! X

Thanx!! I have been wearing my spinning rings for some time, see pic below. But with weight gain, and my dislocated knuckle, it was getting too hard to get it on and off. I was always concerned about the knuckle and the fact that rings would spin. So my first design eliminated that for me. Sadly, they couldn’t resize that ring without remaking it. Fortunately, that ring fits my right hand- yay.

I always shied away from making “a set” for my left hand for the reason above. With the fuss of argyle mine closure in 2020 and the imminent price rise of these colours, I wanted to get something sooner than later and one that I could wear. I got my partner’s blue about 5years ago and that has increased to nearly double!!! I should have thought more about mine then!!! Lol.

I tried to design something that would minimise the spinning of the rings. Sadly, with my knuckle as it is... it is hard to design something. I am considering getting sizing beads and hopefully that will minimise it. However, I do play with my rings subconsciously/ consciously because of the knuckle issue and, every time i do, i get to ogle these stones and reflect on my family.

Oops- maybe digressed a bit too much.

Here is the pic of what I wore for my left hand, which now sits proudly on my right.
