My wife''s new tsavorite and diamond XO pendant

I am happy to share my second major project on pricescope. The first major project was my wife’s sapphire and diamond engagement ring which you can find on the first page of the colored stone e-ring/eye candy section.

I returned to the same “A Team” I worked with before – Richard Orbach from CherryPicked for the colored stones, Bob Hoskins at Whiteflash for diamonds and settings, and Richard Sherwood for lab/appraisals. These gentlemen were once again a pleasure to work with; top notch material, work and service.

This tsavorite/diamond pendant celebrates the birth of our second daughter born last month at the end of May. The posts on pricesocpe on tsavorite and
elsewhere were most helpful in confirming my decision to use them instead of emeralds for a May birth stone. You will notice in one of the photos that there is an Alexandrite. I bought this thinking that our new daughter might be born in June. Now I have to find something to do with this rare and expensive little color change gem!

I had never heard of cherrypicked.com and went for a look at thier website. Do you know what the story is there? it looks like the website is non-functional with no inventory in stock and the last update sometime in 2004.

zerj - Cherrypicked still has stock for sale of course. Cherrypicked is just the internet face for a brick and mortar store in NYC with a long history. However, the website has suffered a bit due to Richard Orbach's dealing with some family issues (a sad, but inspiring story with his father). With a new chapter before him, Richard has pledged to expand and enhance the cherrypicked website in the coming year. I look forward to seeing this. However, in the mean time, a call or email to Richard for your needs in rare colored gems will bring the kind of results that I posted - and at prices that are very fair for the fine quality and rarity you will get. As with many vendors of these kinds of rare gems (Wink, Wise, etc) you often have to call for a search.

Well, I hope that he is able to carry out the project next year. I think I tried to work with him in the middle of of the stuff with his father, and it just didn''t work out. But I really like the stock he has on hand.
