I am looking to buy a ruby and a sapphire pair (untreated/unheated/unfilled) total carat of 0.75 - 1 for a custom earring...are any of the vendors safe to buy from? ...any advice will be of great help

I can't comment on gemsny but I think NSC has high prices for what they sell. Also if you search NSC on this forum you will see quite a few links where I would question them. However, many PSers have also had positive transaction with them.

If you post your buget and criteria for finding these stones I'm sure someone on this forum can find you what you are looking for. That would be my recommendation.

gemsny uses questionable and over inflated appraisal reports from what I have seen in the past.

For the rubies, I would suggest including heated stones. I don't think your budget will run to fine coloured, transparent, untreated rubies.

I am planning to set the following 2 sapphires in different pieces of jewelry, because one - 0.44 carat is very slightly lighter tone than the other 0.45 carat as Bill Kent from sapphires.ca informed.

what certification do I have to insist - it already has EGLCanada on its website...please advice.
Any body have good experience with the seller. Thanks.
