Need advice - 0.9 or 1 carat?

The difference between a .90 or .91 stone that is 6.3 mm and a one carat stone that is 6.5mm is not visible. You are talking 9/1000''s of an inch here. This is not a visible difference, especially when mounted. this is why people snatch up these stones. Your trouble is going to be to find a .90 available to buy more than anything else. You will need to get a vendor to look out for one for you, they are very desirable because of the combination of same look and much lower price.

The difference with a 1.15 (mentioned by one poster above) would be a visible difference, the 1.15 would be larger than the .90, very definitely. But you were not considering a 1.15 so this is not useful information to you.

AGS 000 has more stringent standards than GIA Ex/Ex so if buying blind, it is safer, but if buying with a vendor that can look at the stones for you (I assume you''re buying online) they can find a good Ex/Ex which I believe can be slightly cheaper.

Hi- Buy the bigger one- I personally wouldn''t want Si1- I know how it''s a great deal and all of the positives but I;ve seen the Michael''s hearts on fire Si-1- I couldn''t see the inclusions but I did feel like the brilliance was compromised compared to my FVS2. I have seen G next to my F and couldn''t tell the difference. G looks white- really white. So I would go for the 1 carat- and if price is a concern keep the Vs2 and go for a G- I think you''ll be happy. I also started looking at D and E also- but there is no difference that I could see and ended up with an F but would have been just as happy with a G. I also have earings one is F one is G- I have no idea which is which. HTH.

I think both diamonds look great but again I am not an expert. Have you looked into the different settings that WF/BGD carry and their policies regarding returns/upgrades/etc?
