It''s not a carat, but here is a nice Ideal cut, not CE .68 ct. I/SI2 for $1404 with a great trade-up policy. You could get something like that now then trade up on an anniversary. A simple Tiffany solitaire-type setting won''t set you back that much.

If i can inspect this, is there any problem with this ''eye clean'' jewel? It has a 64.7% base/height-- That puts the cut into the ''good'' category i believe, assuming the rest of the cuts are fair.

Don''t buy her an enhanced diamond. Get her a smaller good quality stone from a vendor with an upgrade policy and increase the size later when you can afford it.

Size isn''t everything.

If you to keep your cost down but also want something big how about a gemstone? There are many gorgeous gemstones set as erings. Check the colored stone forum for ideas.
